Its biggest cemetry in Slovenija, locaked near Btc city-shoping center in Ljubljana. The main building and chapels are arhitacture made by Jože Plečnik and its great looking in the evening-you can walk in the cemetry and enjoy a lots of trees and grass.

With a bit more knowledge about Slovenian history and architecture it's a great place to spend few hours and admire Plečnik's architecture, walk among graves of more or less significant people whose graves are among common people graves.

Best known for its Plecnik architecture, it's the largest cemetery in Slovenia. It is well set out and, while most headstones are not as ornate as those in many other cemeteries I have visited, the setting among the trees make it very picturesque. It is...More

Plečnik did a great job capturing the eternity of a post mortal soul into the pillars and monuments of the Žale. The nicest is the collage of different grave stones. It is huge cemetery and very nice. Good for tranquility and a walk.
