We had the best few hours of our trip. The types of different places we were taken too gradually built up a picture of food from around Slovenia. We had asked for lots of information about this amazing city and food culture and we were told so much! All of the food and drink at the different places were amazing and often places which we would never have found as a tourist. Our guide was so friendly and actually made the whole tour amazing and knew not only the food, but the owners stories of the places we visited. If you are planning on coming to Ljubljana then I would really recommend this tour.

This was a fun evening. We learned a lot about the food, drink and culture of Slovenia. She was very knowledgeable and engaged in making sure we had a good time. I would recommend this.

Very amazing tour with friendly guide, local beverages and food and a lot of side information of the history of Ljubljana. I can recommend the tour with severals stops in and around the city center.

Friendly, excellent quality of food and the quantity of food was amazing, comfortable interaction, small group setting. Easy walking, good insight to city and other things to do in Ljubljana. Open our eyes to restaurants that we wouldn’t have tried. Meta, our tour guide, was so personable, engaging and knowledge. She shared so many stories, taught us about the various Slovenia wine regions and Slovenia history. We usually book food tours in cities we visit and I honestly felt this was the best food tour we have ever been on - felt like we were eating with friends.

This was a wonderful food tour and a great introduction to Ljubljana and Slovenian food, wine & beer. There was so much variety in the stops we made, giving us a full range from casual to more upscale, traditional to modern, and even food and drinks from different regions of Slovenia. It was a small group so if felt like being out with a group of friends, not a tour group. We were very full and satisfied by the end!

This food tour was great. Easy instructions to meet-up then off we went. We visited 6 locations and had full descriptions of the food and wine or beer on offer. Our guide was fantastic. Highly recommended

This tour was fantastic! Our guide, Meta, made us feel like we were talking to (and learning from) a friend. We sampled some delicious wine and food, and we got to learn more about the different wine regions of Slovenia. I found the history of the food and wine culture to be fascinating.

This was a highlight of our trip to Slovenia. The food was wonderful - varying from sophisticated to traditional. The old town is beautiful. Best of all was our guide Alena who was delightful, knowledgeable and committed to showing us a great time. Thank you!

These tours are all booked up and there is good reason for that! A professional, convivial, and delicious tour from start to finish. The afternoon of eating and learning started at 4:30p with prompt arrival of our lovely and fearless guide, Tjasa. She was keen to share not only her knowledge of local food and traditions but also local events and her pride in her city was notable. I was also pleased that she didn't lead us around like a "tour group" so we looked more like a group of friends walking about than a guided tour.
Our "progressive dinner" was more than enough for food to provide a full meal, even though we'd been "saving room" all day. We wouldn’t change a thing- every stop was special for a reason, even if we did have some favorites. We could tell that it has been very well thought out to touch on modern fine dining with local ingredients, traditional dishes and beverages, locally produced cheeses/charcuterie/liquors, lovingly prepared classic crowd pleasers with an updated feel, and fun new food trends in the city. Our vegetarian family member had ample options/adjustments that were non-inferior.
Our thanks to our guide Tjasa (boots on the ground) and Meta (in the office communicating and organizing so efficiently) for accommodating us on a busy and hot week. I just want to note that a tour was not originally available on our date, (and I was hopelessly disappointed) but I emailed to inquire anyway, and as it turned out, Meta was able to make it work. I imagine that can't always happen, but we certainly appreciated the extra effort and accommodation. Ljubljanajam has a golden reputation for a reason. It was such a lovely way to finish our time in Slovenia- and one that we are still talking about as we unload our luggage and share stories with friends and family.

Hi. We are 3 friends visiting Ljubljana in August and we are interested in doing the small group food walking tour. I have 2 questions: 1 of us is vegetarian, would there be some good options available for her at every stop? Also, what are the tour timings?

Of course, no worries if your friend is vegetarian, we'd be happy to prepare her the most delicious vegetarian alternatives. We cater for every taste and dietary restriction, so you're all welcome.
We run foodwalks from Monday to Saturday at 11:30am, 1:00pm and 4:30pm, on Sunday at 11:30am and 1:00pm.
