Thank you so much for your review and to show me where I could do better. True, I do like to support local initiatives I believe in, and all these I select according to my concept (small, local, independent, with a story + of course good good and drinks). My foodwalks are therefore not just about food and history but also about the people preparing those dishes, their unique stories which, I hope, also help you to get an insight into our culture.
Regarding food portions, I always try do to more than advertised at my website for the 55 eur pp (starters + snacks + craftbeer + wine + specialty coffee + dessert), which I believe was also the case in our foodwalk. The coffee experience - making it by yourself - has proven to be a very rewarding experience as it gives people a new appreciation of coffee making, and if they do not wish to do it, we are more than happy to do it for you. Despite, I am sorry I could not provide more of what you have anticipated.
History wise: I do include important historical facts about Ljubljana and Slovenia, but since we focus more on food, I am always happy to go more in-depth on one on one basis should you have any more questions about Ljubljana history. And yes, there are free tours which I do encourage people to take. But they are free for a reason. :)
All in all, I am sorry I could not meet your expectations. I hope at least the recommendations for coffee and craftbeer (true, again two local initiatives) I gave you for the town you were staying in helped. Best, Iva
