Our wine cellar is located only 3 km from Maribor. Our family is in wine- growing business for almost 40 years. For last 25 years we have specialized in production high- quality bottled wine of different grape varieties. Wine-tastings accompanied with local cuisine provides you with an interesting overview of vine-cultivation, cultural heritage and the tradition of wine production by our winery.

We loved! Damijan is the perfect host. We had a great time, we learned a lot about Horvat family, and wine business. Wine taste was extraordinary.

What a fantastic afternoon! Our host Nik, the son of the family, was passionate, engaging and incredibly knowledgeable about wine and wine production. We tasted a beautiful selection of wines produced by the winery as well as a plate with some local cheeses and meats and left entirely satisfied with the experience :) I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The highlight of our whole trip in Maribor! The tasting took about 2.5 hours and we tasted so many amazing wines. The tasting included also some cheeses, bread and meat for local farms (let them know if you're a vegetarian, they can make you a plate without the meat products). Our host Damian was friendly and always ready to answer any questions. We took a taxi here from the city center and it was about 10 minutes. We had so much fun with my friends, would definitely recommend this experience.

We visited for a tasting and had a fantastic time. Damien gave us great information about their wines, the family history, and the local wine region. Would highly recommend this experience! We bought several bottles to bring back to the US with us.

Wow, what a fantastic evening, we walked up from Maribor with our dog,having booked the day before (our email was answered promptly and with lots of information)and were greeted immediately by Damijan who set the tone with his hospitality.
After explaining the history and organization of this family business it was down to the tasting. Damijan and his wife Sabine were fantastic hosts, Damijan looking after us(in English) whilst Sabine did the same to a family in German.
The explanation and passion for the wines were matched by the quality. A wonderful platter of local cheese, fruits and bread accompanied the extensive wine tasting, 11+ wines. After 4 hours of such indulgence Damijan ordered us a taxi home!
We purchased a selection of fine white wines(the vineyard produces only white and rose) and I can only recommend that every one who comes to Maribor does the same!

Wine is better when it is shared. And Damien knows how to share his passion for wine. The degustation lasted 4 hours and we tasted 13 wines. We visited the cellar. It's a small family owned winery producing 40,000 bottles per year. They almost exclusively produce white wines with a sparkling and a rosé. Highly recommended, by far the most enjoyable wine testing ever! Thank a lot Damien.

An amazing wine tasting experience. Our hosts and also the owners of the vineyard were amazing and had a lot of knowledge. There wines were amazing and we tasted (and bought) a lot of them. Would definitely recommend!

Where do we start? 15 EUR each for a 3+ hour personal tasting of 10+ excellent wines with owner Damian with a beautiful food plate. Just: incredible. Worth a trip to Slovenia just in itself. Very well-explained. The best wine tasting we’ve had, and we like doing this. Personal, special, something you will always remember. We used the taxi plus app to get a taxi from the city center, or it’s walkable. Wonderful for seasoned or novice vinos alike. Thank you, Damian and Sabina! We won’t forget this experience or the excellent quality wine. xo from the UK

This winery is a must visit. We went here as a group of 6 ranging from 23 to 74 years of age - 2 families - and thoroughly enjoyed our 2+ hours with Damjian, tasting 9 wines. Luckily we had a driver taking us there! We met his wife Sabina as well, and their son. Saw the many positive Trip Advisor reviews before coming, and they are all true. Very easy to book via email and they are very responsive. Learned about and tasted the wines of the region, and we felt so comfortable and welcome. My grandparents are from this area of Slovenia so I felt an extra special connection here.

I know it is late notice bur we will be in Maribor tommorrow and the following day. Is it possible to do a wine tasting tour and maybe a cheese platter.

I would suggest to make a prior call to the winery to sync your visit.
We were lucky to sync our visit at the same day, but as far as I remember, they ask to do it in advance.
Hi there, my friend and I would love to attend a wine tasting tomorrow night (Wednesday). Do we need to book before hand? Or just show up? And how much would this be? Thanks!

Is it walking distance from the town? We are staying at Hotel Lent by the river and it would be great not to have to drive! :-)

Yes, it is approximately 25 minut walk to our winery (cca. 3 km from town centre). Tomorrow at 6 PM we are expecting 1 guest, so if you would like to join at wine testing, you are very welcome.
