The church has been restored carefully. It is quasi baroque and not everyone appreciates that in church architecture. From the church you can walk to the patio of the cloister. In various rooms paintings and statues of the “school of Piran” are in exhibition. Some...More

Pretty church on the promenade of the beautiful city of Piran. It is set amongst other buildings, yet stands out on its own & beckons you to see within. Lovely interior & very peaceful. Well worth a look.

Another pleasant church in Piran. There was a service going on so we could only look in. Will check it out next time in Piran.

Not a lot to see here - but worth a walk around town and a stop here for 10 minutes or so. Some interesting things to see inside the church including the frescos on the ceiling.

In a small street you will find this church. The Tartini family has their graves here. It is very calm, not too much tourists - you should climb up to the church! The ambulatory is beautiful, there are concerts in the main season here.

Inside the "Samostan Sv. Franciska" is a chair carved from a 500 year old indigenius olive tree. Try the chair with your eyes closed for a couple of minutes. One can hear the church choir's soft music from inside too. The place is simply magical!

Worth the climb up a narrow street for a peek inside the church and musem rooms. They ask for a voluntary donation but its free.
