Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staff very rude and arrogant. Long lines to get in the staff do nothing when people are pushing in. All they want is your money. They do not like tourists. They need more customer service training. Go to one of the smaller ice rinks you will get a better service.

After visiting Heroes Square we decided to explore the park area and passed this ice rink, one of the largest in Europe, it was just getting set up for the festive period but even the area we saw iced over was huge ,people working on the rink to prepare it ,we grabbed a mulled wine to warm up and watched work progress on the ice rink for a few minute, bet it'll look amazing when it's set up and illuminated, well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to Budapest and easy to locate by Heroes Square.

Europe's largest ice rink. Stunning setting. The best winter activity in Budapest if you love ice skating. Try the famous Hungarian pastry, kürtőskalács, here and enjoy a mulled wine or tea with it.

The rink caters for all and is something that if given the chance everyone should try.

Note that to hire skates you will need cash not card.

Very nice laid out place easy to navigate . Friendly and helpful staff . Handy lockers clean skates and an overall fun time . This wasn’t planned in our trip but we seen it from hero’s square and went for it :)

Rink was a great size.
Hard for inexperienced as no barriers round the outside.
Great scenery and played music whilst there.
Slightly unorganised. You have to pay 2000 per skates to hire, which has to be in cash.. lockers you need a key card which no one told us about, a staff member then gave us one.

I thought i would be safe by renting a seal for my daughter, when we hit the ice she refused the seal and wanted to learn immediately, I was ok with that until I noticed it's all open, No Sides 🙄. Still go have a hot drink and a snaps before you go out at the restaurant next to it. Good Fun experience, recommend!

If you are wondering what to do on a sunny winter day in Budapest, try this out! This is a top experience! The rink is huge, plenty of space to move about. Entry is 4000 ft per person plus a security deposit of 2000 ft for skate hire. Great fun!

This is a huge and impressive ice skating rink, which is very popular with locals during the winter, and its not wonder, as it features a stunning background of the Vajdahunyad castle.
