I walked from the Basilica to this Square, not knowing what its name was. As I continued my walk, I saw the Budapest Eye or Ferris wheel, young boys practicing their skate boarding techniques, statues, Anglican Church, hotels, vendors selling hop on/hop off bus rickets,...More

This is the spot for most of the free tours to start. It has a lot of restaurants, a tourist information center, entrance to metro station, lion fountain and shopping stores. One can sit here and see the commotion going on around.

A lively and well-assembled public square that functions as a hub of Budapest. Three metro lines connect at the station beneath the square, so the place is always bustling but not overcrowded. You can reach a lot of Budapest attractions, like St Stephen’s Basilica, by...More

This is a very green and relaxing place right in the middle of the city. There are a number of attractions within the Square as well as a good tourist information centre.

Deák Ferenc Square is likely Budapest’s liveliest square in the evening. I’ve stayed at the Ritz-Carlton across the street from the square, and often get on and off the subway (This is an interchange for Metro Subway Lines I, 2, and 3.) and buses at...More

Another of the many bustling squares around Budapest and a short walk from our hotel. Places of interest here include the Budapest Eye, A Lutheran Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Also the starting point for our Hop On Hop Off Bus.....

District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube,
with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The
Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica
stand out as two of the finest examples of
architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for
more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval
city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while
the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention
