- CraziCowHaifa, Israel1 contributionIt's niceRiding on this ferris wheel is a short and nice experience. You see Budapest from above quite good, though it's important to mention it isn't too high, don't expect too much. If you have some free short time and you're around the ferris wheel maybe give it a shot.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 October 2023
- rfg05101735 contributionsFerris wheel funGreat views of the city went around three or four times and stopped at the top for a while. We did it late on at night so no queuing and was able to see a lot lit up over the skyline. Enjoyed it and was fun thing to do having never been on one before!!Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 November 2023
- sarah j28 contributionsGood experience but better views from Basilica or Buda sideGreat views at night-time as city lit up and you can recognise landmarks. Went on a whim on way back from a restaurant. Not sure how would look in the daytime. Around 15 mins in the air to enable photos and had pod to ourselves as quiet.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 November 2023
- Snowbirdny188 contributionsI’m seriously afraid of heights. i only had minor anxiety when it stopped on top.I decided to ride the Ferris Wheel as long as my friends went with me. It had rained so photos weren’t the best and the view was fine. I found the price was fair and line was short. I’m glad I went on it. Checked it off my bucket list!Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 12 December 2023
- Dawid M41 contributionsChristmas period but was nothing specialWouldn’t let us go on a separate carriage and had to share it with a different couple which could be a little awkward. The views themselves are not very special to be honest. You’d be better off taking pictures outside of the ferris wheel or from the different architectural buildings. Might be more fun for young kids.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 January 2024
- Holly FryettLondon, United Kingdom306 contributionsCool views but not good if scared of heightsThis attraction is fairly pricey but a very cool and fun experience. I am partially scared of heights but this attraction didn't look too bad as it went round at a fairly quick speed. Hence I didn't think it would be too terrifying. I didn't realise it stopped at the top for about 5 minutes, so that part was quite scary as it was really high up. It wasn't too scary when it was moving. The views were really pretty, but seen better views elsewhere in Budapest. Definitely wouldn't recommend this to anyone that had an kind of fear of heights. But if you want something fun to do and see some nice buildings from above this is worth doing.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 March 2024
- Kristóf BBudapest, Hungary9 contributionsI recommend it to everyone!A great experience! We did about 5 laps. Sometimes the wheel stops while others get on. There is time to look around, to take photos. The boarding assistants were very nice, plane was great with the girl who did a rhythmic dance She navigated us. I hope you read it. We really enjoyed it!Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 29 April 2024
- TAfun123Ridgewood, New Jersey18 contributionsPrioity Club FunOn a lark while just passing by, my wife and I decided to ride this Ferris Wheel. It was a nice weekend day, though, and the lines were long with young families. We decided to treat ourselves and pay up a bit to become members of the Priority Club. A separate entrance, a Priority Club lounge and the Priority Club red carpet!!! We were loaded first and as a result experienced extended time in the air while others were loading. Fun views of St Stephen's Cathedral and other sites.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 May 2024

A blonde lady from the staff started yelling at us that we are not allowed 5 people in the same cabin, even if we proved to her, with documents, that we are family and all vaccinated. The discussion lasted so long that a huge queue formed and we lost all fun.
Before enterong the premises, at tiket point, we presented all the passports and vaccine certificates.
Too bad for money, a ride is still expensive (10 euros / adult and 6 euros / child).

We used this impressive structure to locate ourselves every so often as you can get lost in this city. I’m sure you do get amazing views from here but we decided against using it as the queues were always very long and we found an alternative option!
We bought the cheap daily tram tickets that allow unlimited journeys and went to both sides of the river. You can easily get high enough to get amazing views of this wonderful city without the expense.

Budapest Eye is a Ferris wheel erected in Erzsébet Square in 2017. It is 65m in height (the largest Ferris wheel in Europe), with 42 partially open cabins. The view from the top of the Eye is panoramic. It is illuminated at night, and on the 15th of March is lit up in the national tricolor. The ride to the top takes 8-10 minutes, and one ticket is 3 revolutions. The Eye is operates year round. It opens at 10am, and closes at 11pm Mon & Tues, midnight Wed &Thurs, 1am Fri and Sat and midnight on Sunday. A ticket (3 revolutions) costs 3,000 HUF with discounts for children, seniors and students. I thought the view from the nearby dome on St. Stephen's basilica was better, more stable (clearer pictures) and higher (96m), and I could stay on the dome platform as long as I wanted.

The line was confusing and a little disorganized which caused for unhappy queuing, especially with some line cutters. When you've been standing out in the cold for an hour, people tend to stop being polite (if they ever were). But, the actual ride is worth it. The views were spectacular and you go around a few times so you really get to enjoy what you're seeing. We went at night, but I bet the experience is worthwhile at any time of day.

If you go to Budapest you have to go up to Budapest Eye! The view is breathtaking and helps to better understand the structure of the city, the map and the history of different buildings.
I suffer from vertigo but I don't deny you that I found this experience not dangerous and stimulating ... sure! better not to go alone!
Recomended!

Stumbled across this by chance but thought it looked pretty good and was not disappointed. Not too bad value wise and you also get really good views of the city. We went up at night and the City buildings are all lit up very nicely making it a worth while stop.

This was SUCH A FUN EXPERIENCE. I typically am petrified of heights but the whole thing is pretty enclosed and moves pretty slowly. It provides excellent views of the city and it is a really fun way to spend 10 minutes. The price was reasonable and the queue wasn't too long, wait was very minimal, during our visit in November.

Great experience for the kids, with a great view of city centre, the surrounding buildings as well as parliaments, the Bascilia and Buda Castle. The ride lasts 5 minutes or so and is faurly wirth the cost. Prepared to pay about HUF 8000 for a family of four.

10 USD would get you to spin in this ordinary (yet nicely lit at night) Ferris wheel.
As long as you don't expect any "WOW" factor, you can actually enjoy it.
For us, it was mostly part of the view from our hotel window.

I’m going to Budapest this Saturday to pick my mom up from the airport - therefore I won’t be staying at a hotel and I won’t be able to use public transport. But I’d love to see Budapest Eye, is there any parking place nearby where I can park my car and then walk to Budapest Eye?
Thanks.
