Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fovam ter is a gateway to my interesting places eg. the Main Market, the River Danube.
There is also a M4 metro station in here.
It is an ideal place for exploring Budapest in Pest or walking to Buda side as well.

This small square, takes its name from the merchants that would frequent the area, selling there wares in the central market, (with its beautiful facade and grand interior), the square also has the beautiful liberty bridge spanning the danube at this point. All in all it is a square not to be missed on the visitors list.

It is 34 degrees outside. No airco (energized by solar panels on roof) with this heat selling food????? Old fashioned set up of market hall. Look at Rotterdam and change set up. Adapt to 21ste century.

While this square has nothing to really offer most of the year, it was rather lovely this time around with a small Christmas market in it.

We discovered this small square on the Pest side of the river during our first morning in Budapest. We had been shopping in the Central Market Hall where it was quite hot and humid. Consequently, we were in need of somewhere to get some fresh air and to cool off a bit.
When we emerged from the market hall, we spotted this small square just across the main road and so we crossed over to check it out.
One section of the small square is occupied by a children’s play area. Therefore, on this Saturday morning, there were a few family groups with small children gathered there. In another part of there is a small memorial to a Hungarian army regiment.
We spent our time in the area of the square adjacent to the play area sitting on a concrete wall bordering a garden bed and under the shade of some small spreading trees.
It was a nice, relatively quiet place to briefly rest our feet and to spend a bit of time cooling off in the shade of the trees.

Although the beautiful market hall is one of the standout buildings on Fovam Square its not the only reason to go here ,there a pretty park on the square and the square stretches around to the riverfront offering great views of not just the River Danube but also the famous Jonas Building and the stunning Stadium Generale Building plus great views of Liberty Bridge, there also great pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants dotted all around the square that's most definitely well worth checking out if you're in Pest side of the River Danube.
