About
Palinka is one of the world’s unique treasures. The time to introduce it to the world in a fitting way is here. We believe that this royal distillate has been ripe for the world to get to know it and love it for a long time. This is a journey through the world of palinka. Via the use of the afore mentioned digital tools you shall be able to make real palinka for yourself. The array of tastes range from plum, apricot, elderfberries, wild cherry all the way to fruits such as raspberry. It is really worth getting to know them – it is highly recommended to taste them. In the shop: there are 12 distillate facilities, more than 30 fruits result in 100 different products. Our expert staff will be able to help you choose whichever fits your personality and character the most appropriately. You can also choose from other Hungaricums such as Rex Ciborum, goose liver pate, contemporary designer gifts as well as a special range of palinka themed garments.

- Alex DTel Aviv District, Israel11 contributionsThe price does not match the quality. We expected to be led through the museum with explanations. As a result, we were sent to inspect the “museum” ourselves. After that, they gave out 4 stacks for each with an amount of half a sip. The Hungarian tasting plate paid for two also looked skimpy and looked like it was designed for one person at most. This visit did not correspond to the amount paid.Visited December 2022Written 8 December 2022
- Lauren2607Retford, United Kingdom9 contributionsNot what we were expectingWe couldn’t really understand how this is the third best museum in Budapest! It’s very small, and unfortunately none of the interactive games were working properly. We were offered a guided tour but as we were the only two people there we didn’t like to take up someone’s time just for us, so we read the information ourselves. The barman was very friendly and knowledgeable, we enjoyed chatting to him while we tasted some plum Palinka (which I’m afraid to say we did not enjoy the taste of!) We got this included with our ticket to the thermal baths and luckily the museum was a few doors down from our hotel, but if I’d made a special journey or had to pay for this experience then I’d have been disappointedVisited December 2022Travelled with friendsWritten 21 December 2022
- Ezra ElMlada Boleslav, Czech Republic5 contributionsWorth it as long as you get into a guided tour! The museum isn’t that good so you’ll want to get all the info from staffThere is a lot more to Pálinka than you would think and I believe this to be the best place to discover it. Unfortunately the museum itself has seen better days, is quite small and doesn't provide with much information. But what the exhibition is lacking is fully made up for by the great staff so make sure to attend one of the tours! I had the opportunity to be guided by Kinga who made sure we had ample info about every aspect of the spirit and the making process. I loved the tasting and how Kinga was able to describe each of the different aromas I was made to try. Ask for the richer flavours of Apricot or Red William's pear!Visited March 2023Travelled soloWritten 5 March 2023

The highlight of the tour was the palinka tasting at the end of the tour. Both members of bar staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in providing recommendations. In particular, Kinga tailored the experience perfectly to our tastes and was very entertaining. Gergo was also very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend :)

Informative and very charming. The two young men working today (24.10.23) were knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. They made the whole experience very special.

My Italian husband loves Grappa of course, so as our trip to Budapest was a surprise for his birthday I decided to book the hungarian equivalent of a Grappa museum and go to the Pálinka museum. Good value for money, very nice tour guide and you even get a shot to try at the end.
We decided to stay and have a light lunch after the shot and food was excellent.

Please don’t go to this place. It’s so boring, food is more expensive then the good local restaurants like Pubs for sale or Menza in Budapest.
