Interesting way to spend time. There are two types of tours: short (50min) and long one (1 hour 35 min). We booked short one online. When came at the place - we were told that short excursion are in Hungarian language. And as a second language they already promised to other people - German. That was very unexpected surprise, because there is nothing about this ob the site. How we were supposed to know that short tours are in Hungarian? I have to say, that the staff was very friendly and tried to solve the problem. We were suggested to join another tour (long one, but without extra payment) in one hour in English language. But we already planned everything, so we decided to stick with this one. In this case Staff gave us an audio guide in English. It was pretty difficult to listen actually. Because that was rather loud live guide in Hungarian and German. But anyway it was better then nothing. Of course mood of this trip was not really in a place after such starting. About excursion: rather nice. That splash thing is not such a big thing. I guess outside it looks even better 😂 swimming in the water is kind of slow. There is AC working, so not hot for sure. Staff is really friendly. Got a free postcard from them after the trip. …

Ok tour. Dont expect too much. Lady guide was great. We paid 19€ per person, maybe little too much for what you get.

Review of: Budapest Sightseeing Tour by Land and Water
This is a very good way to see the city and being able to combine the "inland" sights with the view from the river was great. It definitely helped us to decide which areas we then wanted to explore by foot afterwards. The "splash" into the river is also good fun for kids and adults alike. Having good commentary is also a major plus to get some more insight into the city. We listened to the "live" commentary and our guide seemed to know lots about what we were seeing. The only issue was that even with the volume turned up as high as we could (on four headsets) the commentary was still very quiet which made it quite difficult to follow at times. The guide also transitioned very quickly between German and English which sometimes meant that you missed out on the start of something - a pause for breath between the two would have been all the "notice" we needed. My only other slight issue was that some of the sights that it said we would be seeing - we didn't actually pass (for example the synagogue is down a street that you pass the end of - so you only catch a glance of it as you pass). I understand that the bus is on usual roads and so this constrains the route and the ability to stop or slow at the main sites. But if you have just arrived in Budapest and want a fun way to decide where to explore then this is a great way to do it.…
