Hard to imagine the privation of the wounded and medical staff serving at this location during WWII and the Hungarian Revolt of 1956. The displays and artifacts make it real!

Our guide from Budapest Locals suggested we visit this museum and it was a fascinating tour. You will learn a lot about the history of Budapest, particularly during World War II in a way that is very different. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I are staying in the inner city of Pest in the beginning of December this year. How would you recommend getting to the hospital museum as it is quite far, is there a metro close by? Also, would you recommend we pre book tickets or just turn up?
