We rented 2 bikes for 3 days, but since it was going to be raining Bikebase contacted me and asked if we would like to return the bikes earlier. Very thoughtful and we really appreciated it.

We should have rented for 2 days rather than just 1, you can cover so much in just a day on a bike! An absolute must if you're just in Budapest for a long weekend. The Bike Base dungeon itself it's pretty cool, really lovely staff and great value for money. The bikes are pretty heavy though so if you're... More

We were lucky to have rented bicycles from Bikebase. The staff were very helpful and friendly, speaking English fluently. The bikes were in very good condition and the locks were of good quality. We were amazed by the repair kit! We enjoyed bicycling in Budapest with our bikes from Bikebase so much that the next day we went back again... More

I don't write a lot of online reviews but really felt I had to after renting from Bikebase Budapest. The owner Imre(?) kept the bike shop open on a Sunday-Monday holiday while most everything else was closed those days. He went out of his way to create a riding map for us that kept us on safe bike routes around... More

Being in Budapest, we wanted to take a ride along the Danube. Renting was very easy on line. We received an extensive repair kit with our new bikes. Good quality bike locks were provided; not unimportant for us (after a non-pleasant experience in Toulouse). The owners of the shop were very friendly, helpful and gave us the most energizing rental... More

Just returned from this great City. Get yourself a bike and see more in the time allowed. Bikebase conveniently situated near to our hotel so the obvious choice to check out. Very helpful and friendly staff. Travel advice. Wide choice of new bikes. Great rates. A whole days bike hire until 7 pm just over £7. When I go back... More

Don't let anyone talk you into doing a walking tour as it will just kill you. Yes it may only be 30 mins walk to the castle but they fail to tell you that there's more walking around the grounds. We hired a bicycle and covered so much ground without tiring our legs. This is the way to see Budapest.... More
