Everything about this bar is just right. Good range of food and drink, lovely staff, the right prices, lively but not heaving, chilled decor, cold beer and good wine. It was my last stop off before my hotel and they made a solitary traveller feel...More

For a place that markets itself as an open and artistic space for all, our experience at Kisüzem left us feeling belittled. I had been to this place once before and my experience was entirely different simply because I was with some locals. This time...More

We made reservation for 12 people a week in advance: arrived sharp on time (7.30PM) only to find that there was nothing set up. Just some paper with the reservation name on 3 separate tables. We had to beg people to give us OUR tables...More

The great service was a big plus here, the barman recommended just the drinks that we needed and we had a great time here.

This is a corner cafe in the busy young-and-loud clientele of the erstwhile Jewish district of Budapest. This place serves the usual café fare--coffee, tea, drinks--and it is a reasonably enjoyable place, except I have not been able to be there at such time (during...More

Went there for a beer after midnight. Nice music and lots of people. Something between a bar and a gallery. I liked it, you should visit it.

Ordered soup, the food came out very quickly and tasted great. The place is designed nicely, the from bar looks like it's made from gray building bricks. The staff were helpful and the price seemed fair. I recommend it especially for lunch. Regards from Israel!

One of the last authentic pubs in the 7th district. Occasional live music, exhibition, kitchen with delicious snacks, and moderate prices. The best feature is the big windows and the benches.

District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses
the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and
colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in
an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes
and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic
crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of
the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in
Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly

In a nutshell these are poorly designed pubs located in old and abandoned buildings, selling alcohol. As decoration they often use junk like old garden furniture, housekeeping equipments and parts of rusty vehicles. Worth to... More
