This is such a grand landmark. You feel so small when looking at the great Hungarians of the past. Go, take pictures and either walk around the lake, visit the zoo or get a bite to eat in on of the 2 restaurants situated in the park. You can also go ice skating here but there are no sides to... This is a good place for tourists, and the metro can take you there. Overall is a good place to go as a tourist, but its not an experience. However, i the weather is good then its definitely a good idea to combine this with a walk in the near by park and/or spa (the park is actually recommended for... More

Took a taxi from Elisabeth Square where our hotel was located. It was about a 10 minute ride. I don't know what I expected but it was less than expected. Beautiful cold clear day. Lots of people about. Spent 30 minutes saw it all and took a taxi back.

Heroes' Square (or Hősök tere in Hungarian) is one of the most-visited attractions in Budapest, located at the end of Andrássy út. At the center of Heroes' Square stands the Millennium Monument, designed in 1894 by Albert Schickedanz and completed thirty-five years later. Do not miss the Budapest ZOO nearby.

Fantastic monument to the heroes of Hungary. Close to the thermal baths, ice skating rink and museum. Good for a photo shoot on the various tours of Budapest.

We was on our way to the thermal baths which is about a 5 minute walk away. The statues are beautifully done and should be a place to have a quick visit.

Beautiful and grand looking sculptures on the outside of the park, which also houses some baths, sculptures, art galleries and museums of it's own. It's worth the walk/metro ride up to it.

Just amazing! The whole area! It's not just Heroes' Square you can visit, there is plenty more to see in one place! Do not miss the Hungarian Agricultural Museum and the Zoo nearby!
