So what it takes and does it worth honestly? If summer, I recommend to take a local bus, go to a planned point and then go for a light hiking. If spring/autumn, then hiking, or take the LIBEGO (=cable car)! It takes fairly long to...More

Got the children's railway to janoshegy and walked the rest of the way. The views are awesome. Really great. We did it in 36c heat and it was a long climb but there's plenty of benches to rest on at the top. A small cafe...More

Take the chair lift and get away from the bustle and noise of the city. The 360 degree views from the monument at the top are well worth the effort. Though we did not have time could also be combined with a visit to the...More

Great to take the chairlift up the hill and look down on a number of private gardens. The wedding cake lookout tower gives you a great view across Buda and all the way over to Pest.

One of the best viewpoint to the city, a nice hill, though not easy to access. One is by the chairlift, which is the best and can be a lovely part of a day trip. The viewpoint is free, there is a historical part of...More

The best way up to Janoshegy is to use the children's railway which is a must do experience in itself. You can catch the cog railway from the city centre to the children's railway. It is a fun way to get there and cheap. You... More
