Nice day!

Quite worn but nice Zoo, not to big and not to expensive. Possible to get some snacks and a beer if you want to.

This zoo is good for a day out pretty much any time of the year, loads of exhibitions and never really too crowded, pretty much as good as a zoo gets. Great to go with friends or family, and a great way to spend a day out in Budapest chilling, especially because of the close proximity to heroes square and... More

This Zoo was huge, full of interesting species, and was the equivalent to about £7 to get in. They also had wallabys that you can stroke and walk about with in their enclosure. The animals look well looked after and happy. I strongly reccomend you visit when you are in Budapest for a few days, it's about a £5 taxi... More

The zoo is presenting lot of different variety of animals but all in a very poor condition. The cages are so small that they can barely move (the elephant must be the worst with the hippopotamus). People are not respectful yelling at the animals, knocking on the cages glasses. Too much people, too much noise, too small cages, my worst... More

In Budapest, few museums are open on Monday ... which was an excellent time to visit the zoo. It's very easy to get to ... I took the metro to Heroes Square and then walked to the zoo. I loved the buildings, obviously inspired by the areas from which the animals hailed. It's a beautiful zoo, and very well set... More

From looking at the map of Budapest it appeared to be a small zoo, but it was larger than expected! They had a massive variety of animals in outside and inside enclosures and a few different enclosures you can go into with the animals, restaurant choices aren't great but you can bring food or have lunch elsewhere. Very good value... More

Undoubtedly the zoo has a wide variety of animals here - rhinos, giraffes, elephants, tigers, monkeys etc and you probably wouldn't see these animals in your typical city zoo. However the room which each animal has is quite distressing. I personally found it quite upsetting particularly where some animals were pacing back and forth or running continuously in a circle... Go there, if it's in the spring you will find a lot of flowers in the gardens. The animals seemed well kept and in good form

Very nice zoo, lots of animals to see, very well laid out, the animals all looked fit and well cared for. I've only marked it as 4 stars as a lot of the windows on the exhibits were dirty/cloudy/misty meaning you couldn't see the animals so well or take photos without them looking dirty.
