This is a small spa set in the old hospital. It is much cheaper than some of the bigger baths and has far fewer tourists visiting. The main octagonal pool lies under a beautiful domed roof and there are smaller pools all set at different temperatures surrounding it. Definitely worth a visit

This has become my favourite baths in Budapest. I love the mix of ancient and modern and the fact that it's quiet and out of the way. We found it easily enough but I guess it could be difficult if you've not done your research. Anyway I like experiences that you have to work for; it makes it so much... More

We went on a cold February morning and it was a great inside activity to hide from the rain. The baths consist of a main pool, two additional warm pools, two saunas with different temperatures, a steam room and a cool pool. There are a handful of showers near the entrance that are very basic. If you are planning to... More

If you want a place without a lot of tourist and you just want a warm bath, then go to Veli Bej, it's very cheap. They also offer massage (an hour for about 20€/6400 forrint), but don't expect deep deep muscle massage. But the place don't have any outdoor pools and it's very small

We decided not to go to the crowded place (like the Széchenyi bath and Gellert bath), thus picked up this bath. (Search for discount tickets in the BUDAPESTINFO points). We went @~17:30, there were a few visitors. There is a main bath and 4 small bathes with different water temperature. There is a swimming pool and a jacuzzi bath (it... More

We had already visited the Szechenyi baths the day before but thought we would give a small place a go. It's so so lovely here. We arrived there just after 9am, found it fairly easily, as soon as you see a building with a big glass front, head in there. There's signs on the door pointing to the spa area.... More

Nice small place to escape the touristic parts of budapest. Hidden next to the bigger and half ruined Lukasz Bath the freshly renovated Veli Bej Spa is part of a hospital which is probably the reason for the 3 hour break from 12 to 3 o'clock. We suggest arriving there at a quarter to 3 to avoid being put on... More

This is an excellent baths and contrary to some reviews, we found this place much more welcoming to us as tourists than the other more visited places. Nice, modern building leads into an octagonal turkish bath with jacuzzis either side. Then there is a row of steam rooms and proper saunas. There are rain showers in the middle. On the... More

I do not think the Veli Bej Bath wants foreign visitors! We went here twice and it was a waste of our valuable time! It turned out that the Gellert Baths were just fine (treat them as an adventure - of course they are packed) and this place is too small to visit and is overloaded with locals. There was... More
