A fantastic tour with Tommy today! He is a knowledgeable, fun and encouraging guide. We learnt lots about the city, way more than if we'd tried to run it ourselves and he was able to answer all our questions and more. Set a pace suited to us too. Would recommend these tours to anyone!

Adam was a fantastic host on our Must See Tour. Not only the perfect way to see the city (no Tour Bus or Segway for me) but also great company and full of information and knowledge about Budapest. The other bonus was that Adam has plenty of tips on where to 'refuel' after the run! Organising the meet and route... More

Had a fantastic early morning tour (06:30) run with Adam. So much fun and laughs and in the same time information about the history of Budapest. Booked a hour tour, but we just keept running. This activity it self is a reason to go back to Budapest.

Adam took me for the Riverbank + tour. So glad to have his company and knowledge of the city! We were able to coordinate the tour the day before (email failures on my part) and Adam met me promptly outside of the hostel I was staying at as I was the only one on the tour. Adam shared with me... More

Arriving in Budapest for a few days on my own, a private running tour with Adam was the perfect way to see the city and learn about the history of Budapest. Adam was a perfect guide and a highlight of my vacation.

Knowing that I would be in Budapest during a weekend where I had a 20 mile marathon training run was a little daunting, until I found this gem of a company. I booked a 20 mile custom tour (because of the distance...you can easily choose from a number of standard tour options) to combine seeing the city, with getting my... More

We had a great morning tour with Eszter. She couldn't have been more friendly and happy. The passion and love for her city was obvious and we very much enjoyed learning about it and the history of Hungary in general! We hope to one day return. I wish I had of done another tour. We did the 'Must See' and... More

I did two tours with Adam while in Budapest. The Riverbank+ and the Trail run. He arrived at my hotel perfectly on time, was very personable, and extremely knowledgeable. He even provided me with links and suggestions of other activities and sights to see and do while I was in Budapest. Do yourself a favor and book a tour!

Adam was the perfect tour guide, he had a great knowledge of Budapest and its history, and he's also a hard as nails runner. A great way to see the city and get some mileage in the legs. Recommended.

I did two running tours with Adam while in Budapest. They were both fabulous. He met me at my hotel at 7AM and we took off on city streets and running paths as the city was coming to life. He is a very experienced/flexible runner who easily accommodated my pace. He provided wonderful information about the city and sights as... More

Staying in Gellert Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Gellert Hill
If you want to treat your camera to some amazing scenery, Gellért Hill is a must on your itinerary. A funicular journey from the Chain Bridge along the hillsides provides a fast connection between Buda and Pest, hoisting visitors to panoramic vistas. Once on top of the hill, you’ll find the Citadel dominate the landscape with its imposing 19th century construction, a site that’s hard to keep your eyes on without being distracted by the phenomenal view over the Danube and the eight bridges crossing. Once on Gellért Hill however, one mustn’t miss the famous Gellért Baths. Budapest is renown for its thermal waters and its baths, and the Gellért Baths are housed in an impressive art nouveau structure. Its interior design, with its many mosaics, recalls the preceding relationships the city has had with healing springs and saunas, traditionally used within this neighborhood since the Ottoman Empire.
