My wife wanted to shop at the nearby West End Shopping Complex this morning and we arrived around 10 am. I was walking around and entered the Railway Station out of curiosity. An imposing exterior but a disappointing and rather dirty interior. I could see...More

After reading other reviews, I approached the international ticket window with some trepidation. It was late afternoon on a Friday and we needed tickets for the following Monday morning. There was only one customer ahead of me in line who was speaking fluent Hungarian. Even...More

Let me tell you something: the train station is not a good place for you to wait for the train. And, if you are on-board the train from Budapest: don't sleep! Or at least make sure that you or someone is paying attention to your...More

Budapest you really need to sort out your stations. We arrived in Keleti which was awful and this is worse. The first and last impressions these termini make on your visitors is awful. Just a dump I’m afraid. I’ll never criticise Wigan Wallgate again

Great view of the building from outside but once inside you'll see how dirty it is. Also poor international information.

The building structure was impressive from afar. However, once closer, you will see it is lack of maintenance and most probably lack of funding. The interior was disappointed compared to the exterior as it is mostly a bare structure with train platforms. There are a...More

Arrived from Vienna this morning to this station. A complete dump. Poor signage, poor information, dirty, many dubious looking people just hanging around Staff unhelpful. As soon as we alighted from the train we were accosted by a man who claimed to be a taxi...More

Obviously due to recent history Hungary has not gotten round to renovating this impressive building From the outside it has great architecture and looks in need of a clean. On the inside it is a bit of a dump and has a real intimidating feeling....More

Visited on Sunday 8th October. We made sure this was on our list of places to visit and were not disappointed. Mostly original and well preserved, something hard to find now especially for a Railway Station Building.

Inside the nice station there is a luggage deposit, the Price for 24 hours IS 800 (less than 3€), it's automatic And the boxes are very big (we put 2 standard hand bag luggages in one box). Perfect. Open 24 h.

That isn’t really a question, but here’s a suggestion: download the TAXIFY app to insure honest pricing from taxi drivers in Budapest and elsewhere.

Actually there is no locker, but there is a luggage "garderobe", where you can leave your luggage, doesn't matter what size. The cost for a day is around 600-800.- Hungarian Forint.
