Highly recommending House of fear by Mystique room 2, it’s easily one of the best escape rooms in Budapest.
It is designed with thorough care for horror and has the references to genre’s brilliant representatives like Hereditary, Evil dead and Ritual. If you ever wished to experience the vibe of those films featuring exploration of a cursed isolated hut in the woods, accompanied by eerie sounds effects, a few jump scares and intriguingly dark puzzles with solid logic - this is the right choice.
We were 5 people, it felt about right in terms of space and difficulty for such a group. Staff’s hints were top notch.
Mystique 2 proves time and time again to be a local leader of escape rooms. Thank you for creating rooms with passion and attention to details.

Yesterday, my family and I went to the Pirate track. The course was of high quality and the tasks were very imaginative. Besides, Anna, our referee, is the nicest referee we have met. Whenever we asked him, he answered very helpfully, even if we asked him the most stupid questions. Thank you to Mystique Room for the experience and for helping us along the way.

Many varied escape rooms - we try a different one each month. Done 6 out of 18 so far of varying difficulty levels from 2 to 5 out of 5. Very enjoyable, clean rooms in fairly central location. Receive instructions at the beginning, and a walk or talkie for help if you get stuck. Toilets on location before you start your room. You can exit at any time for whatever reason, but better to try and solve the puzzles. Looking forward to our next visit.

Three locations, I couldn't even count how many rooms, all new generation. In practice, we have not found any rooms here and we have been in more than 70 rooms. Parallel gameplay in several rooms, which is ideal for groups.

We kept coming back several times to Budapest and of course to Mystique Room. It was our first time few years back and now we did almost all of their rooms. All rooms are very immersive and fun, big up to all gamemasters there being helfpul without ruining the fun. Special thanks to Hanna with whom we did The Ring.

The lost crystal skull room was a good choice. Great program with the family, very authentic environment, difficult but solvable tasks, involving also physical exercise. Lot of fun.

We were here a few days ago with my brother and his wife, in the lost crystal skull. I really liked the track design, the tasks were tricky and Fáni really won us over at the beginning! If we really lost our way or if we asked for help, we could count on him!

We had a great time. High-quality escape rooms, interesting puzzles... I can only recommend it! We have been here several times and tried quite a few themed rooms. Game of Thrones and the Pirate and Pharaoh rooms were the best for me. Now there are 3 different locations of Mistique Room.

With my husband and our 17-year-old son, we visited the room called Artificial Intelligence. We had a great experience! We are not experienced escape roomers, maybe it was the third time in our lives. But compared to the previous two experiences, this 'new generation' room was a completely different experience, where there really were no padlocks and traditional keys. However, there were plenty of imaginative tasks! Despite the fact that we are not experienced escapers - if not in 60 minutes, but rather in 70 minutes - we got out :). We didn't feel rushed, which was great. In our opinion, the experience is ideal with 3-4 people, because there are not as many unnecessary 'distractions' as in a traditional escape room, i.e. a large number of people for observation is not an advantage, but it is good if everyone can participate in all sub-tasks, because they are exciting and interesting. At one point, we would suggest a change to the operators (without spoiling it for the dear survivors): in one of the rooms, the 'readable' instructions on the wall are not really legible. In other words, you don't know what to do to move on if the text intended for reading is not legible enough... But regardless, it was a great experience, we will be very happy to try other rooms from the MystiqueRoom range.

(This review is only based on one room, and I try not to reveal too much about it)
We tried the room called The Witch, and it said 2-6 people could play this room comfortably, but we were 4 people, and that was too many people. Most of the time only two people could work on the puzzles because it was a very linear room where you could only really work on one puzzle at the time and you didn't really have to search the room for things. We have a lot of experience with escape room and have tried other rooms at other companies in Budapest, and this was the worst one we tried. I'm sorry to say it because the style of the room was really accomplished with a lot of good details. Mystique has a good and clean location. They have a lot of rooms, so maybe we just choose the worst one...
