About
The players are our number one priority. When we opened our escape rooms back in 2014, our goal was to build games that are not only creative, entertaining and enjoyable but also unique and surprising. We searched for our inner child - it didn’t take too long to find :) - and our final goal was for you to feel as great as possible in our escape rooms, and for you to forget the outside world, even if only for an hour. We invented and built every single puzzle in our rooms, made every small detail and piece of decoration with our own hands: we really put all our heart and soul into these games. It was and still is an important standpoint for us to avoid escape room clichés and only use new and innovative puzzles. Our experience from the past few years shows that we can surprise everyone, even players that have seen hundreds of escape rooms before. Here at E-Exit the lovers of padlocks and the admirers of new technologies can equally find the most suitable games for themselves.

Neighbourhood: District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

    Fun escape game!
We did 1984 room and it was great! Nice decors, classic puzzles and the difficulty advertised matched nicely the game’s. Eszter was extremely welcoming and adaptable about our arrival time to start the game, thank you so much!
    Thank you! :)

    Time was running :D
Nagyon jól éreztük magunkat a heaven and hell szobában. Fordulatos játék, szuper design és kedves játékvezető. Ajánljuk mi denkinek, akinek van egy kis tapasztalata a szabaduló szobák terén. We had a great time in the heaven and hell room. A fast-paced game, super design and a nice game master :) We recommend it to anyone with a little experience in escape rooms.
    Thank you! :)

    Good for the whole group
Not only does the place offer many escape rooms, but the design deserves more credit. Surely a lot og thought went into it. What I liked most about them is how they were made in a way that more people can interact with the puzzles at once. They can split uo tasks in a way that lets everyone have a great time.
    Thank you! :)

    Escaping is fun
It was a lot of fun! We went to an Escape Room for the first time, we did the heaven and Hell one, which is supposed to be a relatively hard one. We only needed 2 little hints to get through it so it felt manageable. In general the escape was exciting and the Puzzles we're engaging and fun.
    Thank you! :)

    Great escape rooms
We came to Budapest for sightseeing and to try the many escape rooms. We visited E-Exit on our first night and completed their 1984 room which was a great start to the trip. The hostess was friendly and the room was very good. We liked it so much we came back to do Secret Subway. What a great room full of clever puzzles and design. David was a fantastic host and very funny and gave a few helpful hints when needed. Would recommend giving these rooms a go when in the city.
    Thank you! :)

    Thoroughly enjoyable escape room
Absolutely brilliant escape room. The instructions were crystal clear and delivered with humour. The room exceeded our expectations. The puzzles were really fun to solve and always made sense. The finale was spectacular. Santa Muerte was well suited for a duo and my friend who had never done an escape room before loved it! Thanks
    Thank you! :)

    Great riddles, friendly host
We played Santa Muerte and got out in around 57 minutes without hints. Really well designed and very good riddles. You never have those moments where you have no clue what to do and can just focus and solving riddles. Great! Will come back and try Secret Subway hopefully soon.
    Thank you! :)

One of the best rooms I have ever been to!!
We loved playing the Heaven&Hell room. It’s one of the hardest rooms in E-Exit games, but we managed to escape just 30 seconds before our time was up (3 people). It’s a newest generation room, you can basically forget the padlocks here. Very creative solutions!! And a huge thanks to our game master, Victoria, and her colleague, who let us play this other room when I realised that I already completed once the room I booked initially.:)
    Thank you! :)

    Recommended!
We did the Heaven & Hell and 1984 rooms. Some of us have done several escape rooms (15-20) before, and we appreciated how well the themes were incorporated in the rooms and puzzles. Excellent rooms, probably both ideal for a group of 4 (6 was a bit tight in H&H). Game Master Anita was delightful, and we had a great time!
    Thank you! :)

Heaven+Hell room was loads of fun!
We played the Heaven+Hell room and had a great time! The difficulty level of the room works well for escape room aficionados; while we’ve done harder ones elsewhere, few have been as enjoyable thematically. Ezster, the game master, was very friendly and we overall had a great time.
    Thank you! :)

Overall: 5*
Theming: 5*
Game Master: 5*
Puzzle Variety: 5*
Quality (how well things worked): 5*
Escape Time: 65 minutes (of 75 minutes allotted to play)

In an earlier post we claimed that - if you had an hour to spend in Budapest - you would wish to spend it there. We would now like to assert that if you had an hour and fifteen minutes to spend in Budapest, this would be the ideal place to visit!

Having played ‘The Lost Passenger’ at Mission: Breakout (Kentish Town; reviewed separately), we thought we knew what we were in for with Secret Subway, and yet this escape game still managed to blow us away. The ingenuity of the game designers was pleasantly shocking; this room boasts no repeated puzzles and only one padlock throughout a thoroughly modular game which requires hands-on participation. Noticeably, this is one of the few games that could actually accommodate the number of players the company claim it ought to.

The theming was second to none and is regularly updated to protect against damage due to overuse. The meticulous planning that obviously went into the room design demands to be appreciated; the designers were clearly interior designers in a previous life.

Our Game Master, David, was a delight - in fact he kept us comparing prior escape experiences so long that we missed our dinner reservations and were racing to the airport. If you are lucky enough to have him as your Game Master, you will witness the highest quality of those serving in this - often thankless - role.

To surmise, this makes our list of ‘Top 5 Escape Rooms Ever’. And even though this list grows and morphs with time, we don’t anticipate it being knocked down any time soon. The quality simply surpasses the vast majority of other rooms by a significant margin. We cannot wait to return to Budapest to try out the other games at E-Exit and hope you do too!

Playful, colourful creative escape room. The interior and the background music displayed the vibe of a Mexican carneval in the room Santa Muerte
As a beginner in these games, would definitely recommend as it was not impossible to solve.

My boyfriend and I went to do the 1984 room and we had so much fun! This was my first time ever in an escape room (second for my bf) and it wasn't easy but our game master, Eszter gave us the right hints at the right times so we could make it out just in time. I highly recommend it to everyone to try, we def got hooked. (I dont think you need to read the book for this room.)

Santa Muerte was a really enjoyable escape room. It was fun even with less experienced players. We also had a 9-year-old child with us, who had been scared a little bit at the beginning but forgot about it, when the tasks came up.
It is suggested to escape with 4-5 people otherwise it gets crowded inside.

I visted this place in october with my boyfriend
We first did the secret subway which was really fun, we got warned beforehand that it's a hard. We got in the room and the it was really fun. My boyfriend is colorblind which made one task harder, but luckily I was there too. After the secret subway we came back to do heaven and hell which we finished on time. The secret subway we didn't make it on time but the staff help you after the time is done. The staff were funny and extremely helpfull!

We played the Hell & Heaven room. It was a nice experience, with enough challenges for those with some experience with exit rooms.
