I've had Vass shoes before and the quality of the shoes is excellent. The last shoes lasted for over 5 years in almost daily usage and I can really recommend them. The only thing why I'm not giving five stars is the service at the shop. The service isn't really at the level that you would expect with a high-end... More

I am a little biased as I have a vast collection of Vass shoes, however if you are in the neighborhood you really must visit the shop. Beautiful shoes hand made by beautiful people so you can't go wrong !

The shop is very classy and classic. Shoes are incredibly beautiful and you can almost see that good quality, without trying them. But they are quite expensive. 350-450 EUROs, so you have to bring the big wallet with you when you want to buy some shoes here, which will probably last forever.

The shoe collection was impressive. I found a pair of tri-coloured Oxford brogues, however, the only pair in my size included one display shoe which was stretched and had an awkward crease across the toe. All throughout the fitting, the two sales assistants were talking to each other in Hungarian. Little did they know, my partner understands Hungarian. Right in... More

I found a beautifully made pair of shoes that fit me perfectly only to discover that they had been worn. The soles were seriously scuffed and the logo "Vass Budapest" was almost worn off one shoe. The salesperson insisted that the shoes had only been worn in the store, but the store is fully carpeted so the soles could only... More

Vass shoes are fully hand made and of top quality with impressive value for money. All the above make them the object of desire for lots of shoe aficionados worldwide. I have been craving a pair of Vass shoes for very long but I was reluctant to order online due to sizing and fit issues. So my recent visit to... More

We knew about those shoes quite time now. I already have a pair, and we wanted a pair of shoes for my wife. I must say that are very elegant, well made quality hand made shoes! Unfortunately there was no size available but both the ladies there were very polite, and supplied all the information in order to place an... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
