It is bigger inside, than what it appears outside. Believe it was built around 1836,The Pipe organ is huge, and quiet a few ornate Alters and soaring Dome, beautifully executed Art work. The acoustics would be amazing. Well worth a look - it is free.

Very big and impressive Cathedral and sure one of the town attractions not to be missed. Also the exteriors deserve to be appreciated.

Quiet and almost no people when we got inside. Entrance is for free. Fairly large basilica with nice decor inside and impressive architecture outside. Every large square in Europe had to have one like this.

This church as an 8006 pipe organ and offers a daily 30 minute concert. There is a small charge for the concert but it is a nice way to sit and enjoy the beautiful building

Truly beautiful place with stunning interior. It is really impressive inside out. Huge domes are wonderfully painted, combined with sun shining through stained glass leaves lasting impression. Worth visiting.

Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Apostle, Eger was built in neo-classical style. The building looks boring but imposing. What I mean by 'boring' is that it looks very modern unlike other churches of Eger. The Basilica was built in 1830s. The most interesting parts...More
