Very cute area all set up with a Christmas market and lights for the holidays. Very fun area to visit in Eger.

Lovely large pedestrianised square with plenty of cafes to take a break in. Felt quite European rather than Hungarian. We visited on a Sunday morning and it was busy but not packed.

Dobo Square is the main square of Eger, located in the center of Hungary. IT is a typical and very beautiful square of Central Europe, so it is very interesting see it, when you visit the old town. Very recommedable.

The best views of the castle are from the square. Also, there are two memorials in the area that deserve your attention. Then it is a short walk for a nice gelato.

In the heart of the city the baroque main square of Eger is one of the most beautiful place of its kind in Hungary. For me the great "fighting scene" sculpture is really missing from the square...it can be found a couple meters away but...More
