The lake of Hévíz is the biggest biologically active, natural medicinal water in the world. Its temperature is affected by the combination of cold and hot spring waters coming from underground. The medicinal water breaks out from the spring cave on the surface at the rate of approx. 410 litres per second and with a temperature of 40°C. According to that delivery, the water in the lake changes every three and a half days and keeps uniformly clean.

Thermal lake is composed of heavy metals. It is not good for children as both my kids are suffering from gastroenteritis due to heavy metal poisoning. It is good for adults.

Lake much easier now to navigate as English visitor. Staff very helpful and wristbands can be scanned at various points to show time left and locker number. Bring your bathrobes from hotel. Really enjoyed three hours in Lake and the various warm pools.

We loved it in the summer and thought we would also try in November. It was worth it. Do not forget to bring a bathrobe, slippers or flip flops (the tiles are slippery), a towel and soap for the shower. The locker room where you can leave your valuables is far from the lake and the inside pools. There are... More

Never thought that a static experience like floating (with a rented floating device) in a very warm (28°C to 38°C), thermal lake (between thousands of water lilies) would be that relaxing. Maybe even better than the thermal baths in Budapest. Same smell though. Includes a very beautiful fin-de-siècle pavilion.

This lake is a natural spa - a true miracle of Mother Earth! The warm waters are rich in minerals and gases (if you look at your submerged body parts you'll see them covered with tiny bubbles) that treat a large number of conditions in the most pleasant way one can think of. All you need to do is to... More

First experience of traveling to thermal place. Very nice and beautiful people. Very cheap. We loved and enjoyed everything except the food in spa complex.

A very relaxing day swimming in a thermal lake is just what the doctor ordered. The locals say the lake has healing properties, I'm not sure about that but it felt great on my sore mussels, after a long binge ride the day before. There is an inside and a outside both are nice I advise trying both and see... More
