We had the pleasure of participating in the small group private tour of the Bishops Palace concluded by a wine tasting of the Bishops private wine collection. The tour finished in the courtyard of the only four posted Cathedral in Hungary. The Cathedral is and absolute must, displaying gothic and pre gothic architecture and fine art works dating back to... You expect to find a grand cathedral like this in a capital or a big city like Milan , Cologne or Bordeaux but Pecs with a population of less than 150 000 ??? It is simply beautiful , both inside and outside . It is a MUST SEE !

Grand, huge chatedral, beautiful on the outside beautiful on the inside. You can truly experience greatnes and be peaceful at the same time. My love and I we were with our choir singing inside the chatedral and I can say that that was realy great experience. If you find yourself in Pecs you should definitely visit this chatedral.

Beautifully maintained inside out. Amazing detailed paintings inside. The main entrance door has a lot of detailed 3D biblical panels. We visited during an organ concert with a choir, the acoustic was good.

I don't recall if I ever saw such a big sacral building. I like the architecture, and it look great from the distance. It is also possible to go inside, and it is worth of your time! :)

Very nice and big cathedral with very interesting history. We were in Sunday so we had to wait until 1 p.m. to get inside because there was a mass and the cathedral wasn't open for tourists.

Compared to the great cathedrals of France, Italy, or Spain, this one lacks the glamor and gold. But it is pretty to marvel at especially can appreciate the mix between Ottoman (geometric designs) and Catholic (saints and symbols) influences. The climb up the southeast bell tower was well worth it for the great views of the surrounding city.

Like most churches in Hungary this one has also been restored to its former beauty. It is a lovely cathedral and very large.
