I was really happy for the extended Pompei exhibition, as we planned to visit Szeged in the end of January. So the exhibition is now open until the 5th if March. To be honest, i expected a bit more from the exhibition. Really a lot copies, inappropriate information, different information on the boards and told by the guide. Not very... More

The permanent exhibition of the museum includes ethnographic part including toys, some old town rooms and, most interesting part regarding the natural history. It's worth visiting even without temporary displays. When we were there, the temporary exhibition about Pompei was active (it lasts until March 2017, unless they extend it). There are some very interesting items, statues frescoes and lots... More

The beautiful city mansion was owned by a man named Mora Ferenc but unfortunately his private 'cabinet' room and the exhibits are entirely in Hungarian so I still have no idea who he was! The Pompeii exhibition was interesting and there was plenty of explanation in English but for 1,890 HUF (6 Euros) I would prefer to spend the money... More

As several reviewers have indicated, Mora French is a bit expensive. Whether or not you'll like it depends on the special exhibits. The permanent collection is simply not worth it. While we were here we saw the Pompeii exhibition, and liked it a lot. We definitely got our money's worth. If you plan to visit, check out the special exhibition... More

We arrived a bit late but let us join the previous group to see the Pompeii exhibition, it was amazing and the prices are very fair too, we had the chance to go upstairs and see the Little Prince exhibition too which brought back a lot of childhood memories, thanks for that

This museum is located right on the shore of the river Tisza in downtown Szeged. The classical Greek style favored by many museums is also present here. There is a broad staircase leading to the second floor entrance; in front of it, there is an elaborate fountain that was either turned off or non-functional when we visited. The inside shows... We have been here couple of times and always enjoyed the exhibitions. Traditional, old-fashioned museum, but worth a try.

Nice exterior, but way overpriced and nothing really worth seeing, unless it was free. Cost 1490 HUF per person. Please save your money and your time and skip this so called "Museum".

Great looking building, dominating the view by the Tisza river and the adjacent park. Very nice entrance pillars. Worth seeing.

Beautiful building , as it should be for the museum, with a more beautiful settings within a various types of exhibitions. There are permanent exhibits ( Museum of Natural History , the old pharmacy from 1900, the legacy of Mora Ferenc family - furniture, equipment , librarie, paintings) as well as periodic traveling exhibitions . In December 2014, I visited... More
