The castle itself is okay but in comparison to other European castles it isn't a standout. It offers a really great view of the city though so if you're going to do any sightseeing in Bratislava this should be it.

This has been restored to a beautiful building. Interesting displays in great state rooms. Elegant marble staircases. Very clean facilities and plenty of them on each floor. Has cloakroom for coats and heavy bags at no extra cost. Very good views of the whole city from the top tower and grounds. Entrance charges very reasonable.

Being city walkers allows us the luxury of getting lost and seeing things we would have otherwise missed. This is certainly an exception. This cannot be missed. It isn't a fast walk and the incline brought frequent rest stops. Try transit. Being there was really a spectacle to the pride of the time. Massive figures, Grand motifs, rolling green spaces... I came here on a trip with some work colleagues. It was amazing to find out all about the history of the region.

Probably more attractive outside than anything inside. You can wander around the outside pretty much free of charge. You pay to go in, but it is not expensive. The views from the top of the hill and castle are pretty impressive. There is a big walk up to it, so allow plenty of time.

Looks OK and when wondering about its a nice walk (even at - 7 degrees). There is almost nothing to see inside and without being disparaging its clear it was rebuilt on 1951 and there was nothing much left which was authentic to fill it. The "wonky donkey' (you'll know it when you see it) and some other special paintings... More

A lovely castle with great views over the city and a bargain at €7 per person. We went and there was hardly anyone there which was great! The staff were friendly and there is a nice cafe for coffee. The displays were okay but I got a bit bored (that could be me) but there's only so many pots etc... More

The best bit of the castle is the view. The interior is "OK". At present there is an interesting exhibition on Celts in the area as gold coins have been discovered in the renovation of the castle. It passed an hour or so on a bitterly cold day. The coffee shop on the third floor is small but the white... More

To be expected, this Castle was full of tourists. I thought I was visiting on an "off" day, yet it was swarming with busloads of people. Maybe I was spoiled with the other sites I visited in Europe being the "in between" seasonal time right before the holidays, things were quite slow. The Castle itself and grounds were nice, you...
