We didn't look at the opening times before catching the bus out there and arrived to find the last entry was at 3.30pm and it closed at 4pm. We were 10 minutes late but the lovely attendant let us come in for the last 20 minutes. We were so grateful! It was really beautiful even on a cold and misty... More

Visiting Devin is a must see. It's a great peace of history. You can get a tour for a few Euros which is worth it. You can stroll around and discover the history of what happened during the Cold War when hundreds of people tried to escape to nearby Austria just across the river. It takes about 20 Minutes or... Visited the castle in February on a cold breezy day. Well signposted and accessible. The keep was closed due to construction. You can still see silent remnants that harken back to the "Iron Curton" in the form of guard towers and a monument. Well worth it.

Very pretty grounds to walk on and the castle ruins are impressive but not the greatest and very long walking!

Great view overlooking two adhering rivers. THE TOP PART OF CASTLE IS CLOSED UNTIL APRIL OF 2017!!! (BECAUSE OF THE RECONSTRUCTION) Important historic place (Morava River used to be a state boundary between former Slovakian state (1939-1945, satellite state of Germany) and Austria. There is also the monument (devoted to the victims of communism who tried to escape to "The... More

In the city take bus 28 from the New Bridge and takes about 20 minutes - last stop. The castle is a load of ruin as Napoleon had it destroyed - must have been impressive in it days as sits on a hill - confluence of two rivers and near enough to help protect both Bratiisalva and Vienna. There is... More

This place really makes you imagine all the battles that took place here, it has the right "knight" feeling to it. When you get to the top you will get beautiful views that allow you to see for miles ahead. There's also a well & museum at the top, another museum close to the entrance. There are restaurants and pubs... More

Located on the junction of rivers Danube and Morava, a scenic place up on a steepy hill with interesting exhibitions. You can get there by boat, car, bike or bus. If you are lucky, you can experience a concert or a festival in this special open air venue (Tribute to Freedom is a traditional one in August). Downside - ongoing... More
