Capuchin Church
Feb 2020 • Family
The first architectural gem we bumped into during our walk from Vochodna bus stop to the old town.

The Capuchin Church was first built in 1711 and the facade had a redo in 1860-1861. The church has a soothing relatively simple beige facade and red roof.

Mass was ongoing went we passed by and we decided to move on. So no view of the interior.

Simple Beauty!
Sep 2019
My spouse and I were fortunate to find the door to this church open as we walked about during our free day in Bratislava. Built in 1717, it belongs to the Capuchin order, and is consecrated to saint Stephen, the first Hungarian king. The interior exhibits a simple, but notable beauty with its cream-colored walls, which contrast dramatically with the dark wood pews and altars. The finely-painted Baroque high altar especially stands out.

The square on which the church is found is decorated with a column to the Virgin Mary.

We enjoyed this church immensely, and hope that you will also!

Beautiful church.

For such a small city Bratislava has an amazing amount of beautiful churches and located in Župné Námestie is one of the most stunning namely Capuchin Church And Monastery ( St Stephan Capuchin Church ).
The church that has stood here since the 18th century, the church is dedicated to St Stephan who was the first Hungarian king.
The church interior is simple but stunning, a nice bright interior, a simple alter ,the exterior looks amazing and with the Marian Column in front of the church makes for some great photographic opportunities.
Easy to locate on Župné Námestie and most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area.

Walked by the church and thought it was nice, but not our favorite church in Bratislava. It's still worth looking at it.

Beautiful Church located near several bus/tram stops!
Sep 2018 • Solo
To prepare for my early departure from my hotel to the Train Station, I decided to look for the correct bus stop for Bus # 93. This was when I saw this beautiful, small church with a statue located in front of it. The decorations are simple, chairs not pews were neatly arranged.

It was opened during my visit, said my prayers regarding safe travels and finding the right stop for bus #93!

Visit it , about 5 minutes away from St. Michael's Gate.

Disappointing
Mar 2018
As with many of the Churches they were not open so unable to see inside. Situated outside of the main square but spotted it in the way to the Castle
