Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This church is located at the Square where the Town Hall and the Cathedral are located. Its exterior is colored pink. Insides are simple decorations, not as elaborate and intricate as those of the Cathedral.

During my visit, I saw school children getting out of its front door. I wondered if there is a school inside that is related to this church.

It is hard to imagine that this church was partly a sports hall under the soviet regime. It was built by the Jesuits and stands on the beautiful old square. Worth visiting for its peaceful interior and to try and visualise it transformation.

Not one of the more impressively decorated churches in Kaunas, as it's name suggests, it is a Jesuit church and rather plainly decorated inside. Sitting as it does on the old town square, it is easy to visit, though often being used for various services.

One of the many churches all have their own specific character and are places of tranquility. We saw quite a few so can't really pick any one feature out.

If you have just been in Peter and Paul this can not impress you. Together with the town hall it looks nice on the square but that's about it . You wouldn't miss anything if you skip it.

The Church of St Francis Xavier is situated in the old town of Kaunas and was built by the Jesuits around 1700. Under Tsarist rule, the church was given to the Orthodox faith, whilst during the Soviet era, the church was used as a school, but after Lithuania's independence the church was returned to the Jesuits and was thoroughly renovated in the 1990s.

Nice church in the city centre, but definetely not one of the best in Kaunas. Outside would need some renewing while inside is a bit too simple, but still worth to see if you have some time!

An old and nice building, didn't go inside, so don't know exactly its purpose, but outside it looks good and fits in the area.

The St. Francis Xavier Church is spectacular! Another church located in the Town Square of Kaunas. I had the opportunity to experience an evening Mass. It was such an uplifting experience. Lovely music with the soft sounding Lithuanian language, which many say is the most beautiful language in the world! I highly recommend visiting this church!
