Unfortunately, like most things in Lithuania at the moment, the castle was closed for refurbishment in preparation for the visit from the Pope. However, it was a place of interest and I'll be coming back when works are complete.

When walking from the hotel to old town, and around old town, the castle was a pleasant place to rest for a moment.

Interesting part of Lithuania history. Great location to spend a couple of hours and enjoy the Castle and it’s surrounding. The drive there was smooth and easy to park.

Very small castle but still worth a visit. Its a great example of a medieval castle. Won't take you that long to show yourself around.
