We stayed on this side of the river, so we were able to explore this area continually. It is really rather peaceful and relaxing with lots of buildings to admire.

Klaipeda has a fairly compact old town so you can easily stroll around in a shorter amount of time. Comparing this to other towns, it does not have the charm or facilities that others do. There are some shops and restaurants but in much smaller...More

But still has a lot of nice buildings to look at. Klaipeda's old town is relatively small, there are enough parking llaces around so it is wortb visiting on a way (back) to/from ghe Curonian Spit.

Not big but very special old city. Every sculpture and corner have their own spirit. The ship Meriadian is majestic!

Klaipeda's Old Town is not as large as those in many other European towns, but there is something special about this smaller, cozy old city. It has lovely old buildings, cobblestone streets, a charming park by the river and much more to discover like sculptures...More

You can clearly see through its buildings, statues, of which there are many, and its architecture the history of the city's bygone days. It is a charming place and not that big so you can easily walk right around its many points of interest. Fab.

We have visited Klaipeda in January. The weather wasn't bad, we were able to enjoy an evening walk in the old town. The centre was beautifuly decorated. There are lots of cool restaurants, cafes and bars with a twist. Definitely recommend for weekend getaway.

Lovely piece of ancient german world on the Baltic sea, wonderful atmosphere, the whole old city centre has been magnificently restored, unfortunately very bad weather but definitely nice place.

We had a walking tour around the old town which lasted almost two hours. This could easily have continued for even longer because there is so much to know! I was really interested with the old city's link to England many years ago - and...More
