Orthodox churches are often well worth a visit for the presence of spitituality and devotion. This is a fine example. Richly decorated even if the congretation had to do with malachite green paint not the costly mineral.

Outside looks very simple. But don't be fooled and walk pass it. Inside the church is simply stunning. All the detail works, sculpture and the atmosphere are second to none, in my view. No photo allowed, otherwise I would have shot tons of them.

This Orthodox Church contains the remains of three holy monks. The vivid green interior decor is startling and the ever sweeping attendant keeps the floor spotless.

Straight in the heart of Vilnius is this amazing place, full of head covered babushkas sweeping the floors and shining candelabras, monks strolling in the garden, golden icons adorning the green walls, this is so different from western European standards that it made me understand...More

Very impressive interior, in particular the reredos (behind the altar). The exterior is rather spoiled by scaffolding right now (July 2017).
