I usually don't visit universities on my travels, but this one is an exemption. It is in a sole center of the Old town, occupying a big area. It is one of the oldest in Europe dating back to 16 cent. Existing so long it reflects every architectural era in Europe. It has 13 courtyards in between many faculties inside... More

The building of university is historical piece of Vilnius. This building offers quality education not only for lithuanian people but also for lot of students from the whole world. Nice place for visit.

If you're visiting Vilnius than to visit the University is a must! We are all very proud of the history of the University and always are taking all visitors to at least see the architecture (even without guide).

Visited it with a group. We had a English speaking guide from the university that showed us some of the main sites. Well worth a visit.

Very interesting old architecture of the buildings and inner yards. Old library and bookstore are worth of visiting. Also, if you have some time take a trip to the top of the tower (for a small fee).

Vilnius University is one of the oldest in Europe and, in my opinion, has the most beautiful university churches (St. John). At the twilight its exterior looks like painted with honey and inside is incredibly impressive, really breathtaking. In order to find it you should go through the first inner yard and enter a small gate after walking a few... More

Only one and a half euros each. Wonderful bookshop painted ceiling and series of courtyards. Wedding going on as we visited which added to the fun.

The painted ceiling in the bookstore is really interesting - that alone is worth a visit here! There are other ceiling paintings around the campus which are also very interesting. A trip to the top of the tower is also well worth the time and the (small) cost. I walked up the old wooden steps which allowed to further appreciate... More

Great place to visit, but observation tower is closed till April, 2017 for reconstruction. Will definitely return here next spring!

I spent some time at the campus, mostly to see the bookstore. The interior was beautiful, with painted ceiling and very unusual interior.
