It only costs a couple of euros to wander around the grounds of the University and they have 12 courtyards - from the very grand to fairly basic. You can also visit the Church - we didn't go inside the Church as graduations were taking...More

You pay for admission to the grounds; a nominal fee gets you a brochure of the architecture. Do not miss the bookstore with its stunning ceiling and wall murals as well as sculptures of famous people. If it were larger and a private bookstore, it...More

Students were not in evidence on the Saturday when we visited but presumably, going there on a term time weekday would add a buzzy dimension. Oldest and largest with twenty thousand students, of Lithuania’s ten universities, this place goes a long way to explaining why...More

Some of the courtyards weren’t anything special but the frescos were amazing and the view from the bell tower is the best in Vilnius.

A university rich in history with stunning grounds. A lovely place to wander around in the early morning. There is also a shop which sells merchandise and artwork

We spent a couple of hours here. It’s such a beautiful place. The buildings and the surroundings are simply one of the best experiences in Vilnius. It costs a few euros to get in. No credit cards accepted.

I wish I'd had more time to visit, as I thought it would be a boring time. Couldn't be more wrong, really stunning place to see. The architecture and history is fascinating, and just 2 euros to visit!

If you have a student card you can get entry €0.50 and have a wander around the university buildings. Even without, €1.50 isn't much of a stretch! It was very peaceful as we were the only ones there and it meant we could enjoy it...More
