The old town of Lithuanian capital is one of the oldiest areas in Europe. So reserve about half of a day to experience narrow streets, old buildings and architecture masterpieces here. Visit museums, churches and Cathedral, Palace Of The Grand Dukes of Lithuania, Gediminas' Tower and other celebrities here. Rest in Bernardinų garden. Taste food of local or international cuisines... Interesting experience. The Old Town is the essence of history of Vilnius. With Polish, Lithuanian and Russian influences seen everywhere, it is a must see for every history geek.

First time visiting Vilnius. I have visited other countries in the baltic area and am actually not that big of a fan. The city is ok, there are some nice cafes and restaurants here, but if you are expecting a good deal in prices this is not the place. There are very few shops if you are looking fore something... Many old churches, great views and beautiful buildings. A lot of small shops and restaurants to discover and enjoy.

Vilnius old town is a really pleasant part of city centre to visit. It's a mix of old pretty buildings, some of which are in the process of being renovated and the austere buildings from the Russian era. There are loads of really beautiful churches to see which are lovely whether you are religious or not. It's easy to walk... More

This is a really cute, very interesting place. We just spent hours walking around - and there was an open-air street music festival on, so each corner seemed to have a performer. We spent an entire day walking around, stopping for beers in the sun here are there, and just absorbing the vibe. Loved it.

Vilnius old town is really unique. Beautiful, a lot to see, friendly, everything is near by, a lot of nice cafes, bars, shops and restaurants. Old Town's history is both horrible and interesting. Part of it was a Jewish ghetto during World War II. Please, take part of history. It's our duty, we who now lives in a democracy.

The largest of the Baltic old towns Vilnius will not disappoint. It takes an afternoon to get a handle on what is where and after that it is easy to see sights, drink coffee, eat well and see more sights. It is also very affordable for a euro place with high quality attractions and friendly, too.
