The present exhibits are on the "art of collecting"... the director of the museum , Mark Sossaar was our personal guide, which made the experience so much more enjoyable...please do not miss this beautiful exhibition hall in Parnu.

The Museum of New Art is an initiative by one person mostly who is keen to introduce new art to people and visitors of Pärnu. The museum is located in the previous headquarters of Communist Party and represents socialist architecture. Some pieces of art stress this heritage. Museum itself is not large but exhibits always an interesting selection of arts... More

We visited the Mees & Naine exhibtion, which is to my understanding a recurring art exhibtion with nude motif. The exhibition was well curated and had very interesting pieces of art with quite a variety of techniques. The museum itself is quite old in style and until you get to the exhibiton area itself, one can get a bit suspicious... More

Interesting artwork (we visited while the nude art exhibition was on) which takes the unusual theme to offer reflections on the human condition. Some of the work feels a little dated, but still this a good site.

This is the next art exhibition of the seria "Man and woman". Quite interesting for art lovers. There you can see the nakid man and woman. This art is not for children.

Very unusual attitude to human's nude body could be discovered from this museum. I am not a fan of modern art, but some pieces were OK.

We visited the Pärnu Uue Kunsti Muuseum in July 2012 and now again in July 2015. The museum's annual Mees & Naine (Man & Woman) exhibition was once again interesting. The admission fee was around 3 euros. Their versatile museum shop is one of my favourite museum shops in Estonia. Would recommend!

Of course this is not a Rijksmuseum or Gemäldegalerie. It is a very small, 30-40 minutes province museum that has still strong fragrances of soviet times. But it is so cute. I visited 22nd nude art show Man and Women: Wild Strawberries. It was very well built up. You could see quite a palette of art and emotions- sensuality, depression,... More
