Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tallinn is a small, medieval city, easily done without a tour. Old city is less than a mile from port and easily walkable. That said, it is hilly and cobble stoned and a taxi ride from the port to the top of the upper town might be a good idea for those less energetically inclined. Then you can spend your energy walking down, visiting churches and shopping along the way. Easy walk back to the ship. Or keep your eye out for the little blue tram that wanders around. 5 euros (each) back to ship.
We also visited the Harbor Museum which is interesting for those with a nautical bent.

Well organized and no need to walk a lot. We took an organized tour from here. But heard its near to Old town. There are some good shops also inside the port with good collection and reasonable price. We were actually on Norwegian Cruise Line.

This was our third port of call as part of a Baltic cruise with Fred Olsen on the Balmoral. We took the city tour which was only a short trip from the port. Make sure you visit the mediaeval old town. The 13th to 16th century architecture is stunning and is on UNESCO's world heritage list. The locals are very friendly and many speak English. The souvenir shops are plentiful and reasonably priced. The cobblestone streets are uneven, so good walking shoes are advisable. We will certainly revisit, if possible. A must see for those of you with an interest in local culture.

The cruise port is the gateway for many travellers arriving and leaving Tallinn. The cruise port can handle multiple ships simultaneously, and the dock area is large. There is a souvenir shop with a good variety of trinkets, alcohol and clothes, and a foreign exchange service. A chance to stock up before going onboard.

We came in on a cruise ship. There is not much around the docking area, except for a few merchant shops. We walked into Old Town. The walk was fairly easy but we did have to walk along unpaved paths and across some well traveled streets. Overall, the port was in a good location relative to Old Town.

Created for the cruises and for the passengers to let them get into the ships or leaving the ships easily to go towards the city centre. It's very nice and functional as it must be as many cruises arrive and leave this port every day. Quite busy, nice building, quite a lot shops attract the tourists with reasonable prices, souvenirs or clothing shops mainly. Absolutely very useful!!!

It is always a pleasure coming by ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn. It takes just over 2,5 hours and then when I get off the ferry there is a big modern shopping centre within walking distance.
One of the first things I saw when I entered the shopping mall is Rimi supermarket, which is very handy for food and drinks.
The Nautica shopping centre is a modern building spread over two floors. The top one has cafes and restaurants, where they serve Asian food, barbecued spare ribs, local cuisine cafes, bars and coffee places.
Downstairs I found different famous stores: Triumph, H&M, Tiger, Denim, also shops selling jewellery, luggage, sports wear, coats, clothes, gloves, children’s clothes and toys, suitcases and bags, make up and many other things.
Overall I found it a very good place to do shopping : airy, easy to find the goods I wanted under one roof, not many shoppers and only a 15 minutes walk to Tallinn centre.

Recently visited Tallinn Cruise Port on a cruise and we were very surprised at how organised the port was. Forget searching through the town for souvenirs, spend your time taking in the city and buy your souvenirs on the way back to the ship, they have the best range and the best prices.

30 minutes had you into the old town. Easy to get about. Plenty of souveniers shops on the piers that seem reasonably priced unlike some places.

Above average cruise terminal for cleanliness and efficiency. However best part you are a comfortable walking distance to Tallinn and Old Town (main tourist site).

There is a bank in the square but I do not know whether they have an atm. It is about 15 minutes from the cruise port as far as I can remember. Failing that the cruise port reception should be able to help you.
