- MaxCambridge, United Kingdom28 contributionsModern and varied city marketReally nice and varied market just out of Tallinn old town. The antiques area on the top floor is especially interesting with a good selection of soviet era memorabilia. The lower floors and restaurant selection is also excellentVisited September 2023Travelled soloWritten 20 September 2023
- The happy travellerDublin, Ireland12 contributionsMarket with something for everyone! There are Markets and there are ''markets" , this I can tell you is a real worthwhile Market. A superb Indoor Market on three floors with wide variety of products. Easily found , I walked there from Old City in 20 minutes. It is next door to Tallinn's main Train Station. After hours of looking around , and having bought all required presents it was time for food and once again there was lots of choice . Finally I was interested in buying old Estonian coins and once again I was not disappointed there was one section on top floor with many Coin /Antique shops. This Market is a must !Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 13 November 2023
- Marc KMunich, Germany613 contributionsGreat spot for strolling aroundWell we were looking for something decent in price and various options and we found this shopping and food court market. We enjoyed the concept and the products offered. Worth a visit about 8 minutes walking from the old town.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 March 2024
- JamieGhent, Belgium8 contributionsA day of mixed delightsThis place delights and even overwhelms a little. The food, restaurants, cafe's and bars in the vicinity are fabulous throughout. Additionally the produce, cheeses, fruit, veg, fish, etc. etc. etc. are amazing. The only thing that was on the one hand a bit meh, but on the other hand fascinating were the antique (?!?) stalls in the main building, quite a lot of expensive, slightly questionable kitsch, but it's not my culture so what do I know? Window shopping, seeing things specific mainly to Estonian culture was really fun. There were some reasonable vintage clothing stores but prices seemed quite high for a boy from Brighton who is generally drowning in vintage clothing. It's a great place to spend an easy day. The flea market that happens outside (on some days?) however is a good place for bargains. Check it out and get a cake at the amazing patisserie within.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 June 2024
- Annora FOslo, Norway39 contributionsBuy fruit from the first lady, NOT the interior one a few stalls in.Huge range of clothes and the usual tourist crap too but a good mix for artisanal foods in the back and off to the side was good. Be careful buying any fruit there as it is only edible THAT day. Lovely lady selling fruit at the very front of the entry under the flowers but the dark haired lady in the middle nearby selling the same thing was EXTREMELY rude to customers who spent so so long waiting for her to serve them and just ignore them completely, only to then demand they stand at a special place if they want service, which she could have asked them to do, so many ppl just gave up and she lost our business and others, spent €50 elsewhere instead. Nearby strawberries and chocolate were great and the bread cooked onsite in the outsider barrels was amazing and we will go back just for that!!Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 1 July 2024

I know people dont usually buy chocolates in places like these but the supermarket just had a lot of discounts for estonian chocolates. I also had mexican food at one of the stalls. The quesadillas tasted so nice. And i had Illy coffee at one of the small shops. Nice too. Lotsa fresh fruits outside. I want to go to this market again to get fruits.

3/5 I think I'm very generous. It's a flee market but with nothing special to see or buy. You might see retro stuff (from the Soviet era) but who knows if they are original? I wouldn't visit it again and I wouldn't recommend it unless you have an interest in street markets

Balti Jaam Market was an impressive indoor market featuring a variety of shops and restaurants. Great stop for a bite to eat for a full meal, fresh produce or tasty dessert. A must stop when visiting Tallinn

A short walk from the old town and right next to the train station so it’s easily accessible.
The market offers a wide range of fresh produce stalls, clothing and ready to eat food.
We tried multiple food including pancakes, pizza and cheburek from various stalls and they all tasted divine.
The downside is there’s limited seating the ‘food hall’ so try to find a table first before you purchase any food.
Overall, a clean market in a good location. Would definitely recommend!

Our first venture out of the old town and so great to see an excellent market. It’s on 3 levels with a good selection of fruit & veg stalls; meat and fish counters; clothes and antiques.
One of the nicest markets we have been to in a long time and worth going even if you aren’t looking to buy anything. Glad we made the short walk from the town walls

Just a few minutes walk from L'Ermitage hotel, just a minute or so behind the Train station. A mass of market stalls and shops selling anything and everything. Sweet shops, craft stores, a huge Flea market crammed with antiques, street food of all flavours, meats, cheeses, fruit and vegetables, you name it they've got it. Clothes stalls, furniture, shoes, bags, etc etc. Well worth a visit. Go on, give it a go....

Really recommend the Balti Jaam Market with a modern design. The variety of little booths and occasional food trucks provide a breakfast or lunch opportunity for everyone! Lovely selection of beautiful seasonal fresh vegs, herbs, fruits and a big inviting sections of meat/fish. If you want to get inspired just wander around this market. On the top floor you find an unexpected treasury. Fine handcrafted goods and Eastern European antique pearls that are not easily found in Western Europe. The top floor also contains a small beer brewery with a terrace that includes a nice view over the area.
