Stumbled across this by accident - managed to catch a glimpse both at day and at night and was not disappointed - quite the romantic spot to take a partner!

Toompea Hill hosts a variety of places of interest. With that said, it's not just a hill. Rather than visiting the "hill", you'd be seeing some most famous spots, such as the viewpoints, the churches, etc.

It is really worth climbing to Toompea. Beautifull buildings including churchs, parliament, embassies etc. View from the top is like nowhere else. In wintertime prepare for cold wind.

Come for incredible views and photos. We went at sunrise, clear afternoons, and sunsets. Bring comfy shoes for the steep climb.

Although the way to climb the hill is a bit tricky - or shall I say hidden - once you have reached one of the lookouts its certainty is a breath taking view. On the hill itself there are a few shops, the parliament, church...More

Walked from the Old Town, this area had so many cobblestone streets, every and each one of the buildings were well kept and so very very lovely, when you are in the area, make sure to go into the Post Office, buy a few postcards...More

You get some amazing views of the city here. If you're walking around the old town you're going to get here eventually as it's not far from the town hall.

When we were there, a vinyl record club was apparently selling or trading vinyl records. They had there cars parked very near Toompea. Is there a reason why you want to go there specifically? The Cathedral? Otherwise the... More

the climb isn't too bad, its fairly gradual - i would think ok at any age for anyone even slightly fit. The views from the top are great and it is where you find the orthodox cathedral which is worth visiting

There are actually a few ways up, but they are all steep and some involve stairs. I would take the road not the stairs, the ones I stumbled on to walk up are not only steep, they are uneven. Start in Freedom Square and... More
