Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Pirita convent in ruins is a nice building to be visited, specially if you're willing to see more of Tallinn than just the Old Town. Beautiful construction, and the surrounding neighborhood is also worth the visit. The forest cemetery is close by, and a beautiful place to enjoy the peace of nature.

The ruins were an interesting sight especially the big facade is very impressive. There are info point here and there which give out nice information, how ever it would be nice to understand the structures more in detail and how the life in the convent would have been like. The ticket machine was broken (it couldn't print out paper) so we got in when someone else got out. It would be nice that the entrance would be more accessible and not dependent on the wits of the tourist. Pirita beach and Metsakalmistu are nearby sights that can be reached by car or bike.

We stopped at Pirita late in the afternoon on the way to NOA Chefs Hall for dinner. The small cemetery and convent ruins are hauntingly beautiful. A little bit out of the old town but good public transport connections. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit here but if you are nearby or have plenty of time, it is definitely worth a visit. The sunlight on the ruins late in the afternoon was especially photogenic.

Beautiful blooms at Kadriorg Park and the ruins of an old monastery for both monks and nuns from the 15th century, St. Brigit’s Convent or Pirita Klooster. This convent is actually used as a venue for concerts!

Ruins of the 15th century convent sitting along the banks of the Pirita River. The convent was bombed and destroyed by the Russians.

The ruins of the Old convent of St. Bridget is a tranquil and peaceful spot, very easy to reach from the Old Town of Tallinn. Just take the bus no.1,1a,8,38 or 34a from the bus terminal at Viru Kesku (it runs frequently all day long) It is a beauteful place which still has kept it's sacral atmosphere. Every august around the15th there is a week long festival of concerts and other cultural events for children and adults free of charge.
In the summer the admission fee is €1 for children and €2 (family €4)

Although only the walls are upright, this is a good idea of this medieval monastery's ruin. It is worth a little bit slow when passing.
