A useful place to orientate yourself when walking around the old town. Cobbled surface and surrounded largely by cafes and restaurants, it’s a bit of a tourist trap. The views are quite nice, the buildings around the square are photogenic, but otherwise just an open...More

A true depiction of a European square . Lots of character and charm and traditional bars and shops. Take time to sit and relax and people watch is a must at one if the bars.

We loved just hanging out here. The buildings on the square are beautiful and full of variety. Alleys and small streets branch off in every direction sheltering coffee shops, cafes, and souvenir shops. Best of all? Early afternoon sun in the winter.

In February, the Christmas Trees were just being removed and the New Year snow and ice was still there. The Town Hall presides over one side and colourfully varied buildings run around the other three sides. There are coffee houses, one of the World's oldest...More

A big, pretty square in the heart of the old town, full of character. The restaurants here are inevitably more expensive than others only a short walk away. It was beautiful in snowy February, and not at all busy, but is said to be a...More
