This is a great place to view the medieval city walls, and look out over the old town. We first came here on a private walking tour, and had to come back. It's easy to access and there are cafe's around as well.

Pretty plaza with a nice lookout area that provides a nice lookout over Tallin. Lots of statues throughout with a restaurant on site. These walls were built to defend Tallin, you can climb the stairs to the tower for views.

Nice square with interesting statues and legends. The danish flag supposedly fell down from the sky in this place, helping the Danes to win the war.

The Danish Kings Garden is an easy view while heading to the city wall, Toomepea Hill, or Neitsitorn. The legend behind the garden may be even more interesting then the garden itself. Still, even in the fall it had its beauty. An important part of...More

We really loved this place - it felt slightly hidden from the crowds. My kids loved the mysterious monks, which took us by surprise. We had to climb up onto the wall and investigate. Follow Rick Steve's walking guide to get here. We almost missed...More
