It doesn't matter where I am in the world... if there is a zoo I always want to go and see the different animals. After reading other reviews and checking the website it had been said that Tallinn Zoo is still worth a visit in the Winter as well as the Summer, as we were visiting Tallinn in November I... More

Tallinn zoo is a nice zoo but unfortunately the old Sovjet style is still visible there. All the animals urgently need better accomodation. However the zoo is doing its best to improve the animals situations by getting funds to give the animals a better life.

The old parts of the zoo is surprise soviet standard but the new part is great. Its well planned and will do much good for the animals.

This was the second time I visited this place - previous one was with my hubby and this time with my teenage daughter. Overall experience is really good: lots of space and nice variety of animals. Even though some of the cages are small, you can see the progress and renovation going on. What was disappointing in our visit outside... More

Tallinn Zoo is located in the western suburbs, it is best visited together with the Estonian Open Air Museum, which is only a few bus stops away..I visited the zoo on a cold October morning when almost noone else was around. As it was also a sunny morning, most of the animal came out and could be seen. Tallinn Zoo... More

The zoo area is pretty big so be ready to walk a lot. There are many animals, for example polar bears and seals. The living conditions of the animals could be better and they could also keep more coffees/ice cream places etc. open but generally a great visit. The student ticket is pretty affordable.

Located little outside of town, next to large shopping mall Rocca Al Mare. After visiting at least 20 different Zoos around the world, this is one of the smallest and not the fanciest, but still real nice and definitely worth of visit. They are doing renovations, so year after year they are getting better. We didn't saw any stressful animals... More

We always try to visit the local zoo. Tallinn zoo has a lot to offer. It still needs work on several cages, but they are really fully engaged into making this happen. So, in a probably short while, this will become a really great zoo. Things you have to visit though are the alpinarium with their superb collection of all... More
