Old church (1200-1300). Free to enter. A euro to take photos. Interesting terra-cotta sculptures throughout. All brick structure which is just beautiful. You can see how the ground has settled as some walls are no longer straight.

Saint John's church is the main architectural monument in Tartu. Probably the most interesting medieval building in Baltic.

We attended a concert in this church and during listening watched the collection of terra-cotta heads. Not to be missed.

It is a beautiful gothic church with some additions of baroque period but lacking any opulence of the latter. Actually it is very austere and rather bare inside, but maybe this is even for the best, because gothic architecture can be admired at its purest....More

You are walking in the old city and here between the houses you see this beautiful red brick church. You can climb into the tower, but you need a ticket. You don't see a lot, but we think it's worth it :)
