Latvian Kemeri swamp trails is a quiet place not far from Jurmala. There are long narrow wooden trails that allow visitors to walk through the swamps and enjoy their unexplainable, colorful beauty. The place looks very different depending on time of the day and season, changing forms and colors - so it's common for tourists and locals to visit it... More

Ķemeri National Park, like a fragile jewel, contains natural values which have already become rare in Latvia and Europe – intact high moss marshes, damp black alder forests, floodplain meadows and seaside lakes rich in birds. It is a shelter and place of residence for many rare and protected plant and animal species – glorious and easily observable, and subtle... More

A good place to relax in nature, you need comfortable shoes, slick places. You can observe the characteristic landscape of the bog.

Late autumn is rather grey in this part of Europe; nevertheless, we found the boardwalk across raised bogs very beautiful. It is amazing spot for those who love birdswatching. There's also enough information about his ecosystem provided in English along the trail.

Real nature of Latvia! Real swamp there :) small trees, lots of moss and unknown depth water ponds. Lots of walking (to be careful as wooden footbridge is likely narrow than wide) in absolutely fresh air, pretty landscape around, complete relax for several hours. There's almost no civilization around, be prepared with some snacks, water etc. Cheap entrance (as typical... More

We arrived there in the morning and there was almost no people. The place has free parking and parking for charge. This activity is free so anyone can afford it. There are two options: big ( 3km) or small ( 1.5) path. The path is through the forest on the moorland. In the middle of the path there is a... More

Such a beautiful place to have a peacful walk/ride. There are little stands with information regarding plants, birds who live there. Fresh air and amazing stress free atmosphere.

We did the 'Green Dune' hike, arriving on the train from Riga at 10:22 and finishing easily in time for the 14:00 back. Interesting landscape with lots of wildlife (snakes!) and such contrast to the busy city.
