Late autumn is rather grey in this part of Europe; nevertheless, we found the boardwalk across raised bogs very beautiful. It is amazing spot for those who love birdswatching. There's also enough information about his ecosystem provided in English along the trail.

Real nature of Latvia! Real swamp there :) small trees, lots of moss and unknown depth water ponds. Lots of walking (to be careful as wooden footbridge is likely narrow than wide) in absolutely fresh air, pretty landscape around, complete relax for several hours. There's almost no civilization around, be prepared with some snacks, water etc. Cheap entrance (as typical... More

We arrived there in the morning and there was almost no people. The place has free parking and parking for charge. This activity is free so anyone can afford it. There are two options: big ( 3km) or small ( 1.5) path. The path is through the forest on the moorland. In the middle of the path there is a... More

Such a beautiful place to have a peacful walk/ride. There are little stands with information regarding plants, birds who live there. Fresh air and amazing stress free atmosphere.

We did the 'Green Dune' hike, arriving on the train from Riga at 10:22 and finishing easily in time for the 14:00 back. Interesting landscape with lots of wildlife (snakes!) and such contrast to the busy city.

This is one of my favorite places to visit any time of the year. And I always take all of my foreign friends here. I really love the peace and quiet of the bog, especially in the mornings, you can just stop and listen to nature.

I rented realy cheap bicycle from Go By Bike velo rental (You can find them on facebook, it's realy easy)and also got private guide for 50 eiro. It was peaceful meditative experiance. I enjoyed bike ride though Kemeri swamps and lakes near by. We also went to seaside. This was great experiance!

The perfect place in summer, when you want to grab your hiking bag, vanish from the city, walk a few kilometers and view how the sun rises from the top of the birdwatching tower!
