St. Peter's is the most beautiful church in Riga. It looks fantastic and enormous towering above the low central Riga houses. It has a striking three dome Baroque tower and you'll probably go up for great views. The price is 9 Euro/pp, which is pretty expensive, especially if with a bigger party. The views are great, you're in a sole... More

Ascending a few stairs we took the elevator to the top. Good thing it was heated because upon exiting we caught the cold wind that swirled around the tower. Alone we were able to spend a good bit of time viewing the city and surrounding area. I would guess the sight would be unpleasant with a crowd. Hopefully that is... More

do pay the extra to take the trip to the top in the lift. It runs about every 10 minutes. The views over the city are outstanding.

This is yet another magnificent church, though it is now it is primarily an art gallery. This is therefore is a three in one attraction. On the first floor is the church and a very worthwhile art gallery. On the second floor is the lift taking you to the top for a panoramic view of the city. The church is... More

It's a great view to see the city and also Daugava river. Not the best time in winter though, it's windy and very cold so we didn't stay long.

We got some amazing views of a very snowy Riga. It's fairly cheap and the lift doesn't take long. The only downside was waiting in the freezing cold for the lift to come back for us, as there was no inside space to wait.

Love the view of Riga from this church tower. A must see view, especially on a lovely day with clear skies. Was there in November but it had snowed, very beautiful view.

Quite expensive entry fee at €9 but that lets you see round the church and go up the tower. There are some steps but then an elevator the rest of the way. If you're going in the Winter make sure you wrap up warmly because it gets very cold up there. They display a sign at the entrance to let... More

When you pay €9 each to ride the lift up to the viewing platform in St Peter's Church, be prepared for the cold blast of wind, as this platform is only surrounded by steel bars...no glass. Views are great across to the Central Market and the Daugava River, but in fact you could spend your €9 in a much better... More
