Very quaint part of the city of Riga. No shortage of excellent restaurants and shopping. The Porcelain Museum was particularly interesting. Many other small museums in this area as well. Can easily spend several days wandering the cobblestone streets.

I loved Riga, this is a beautiful and compact city center, with a lot of culture, and crazy amount of influences shown by type of buildings. Easy to walk around, very small - loved it for a short weekend.

I think that's the main reason why people come here. It's not only the buildings but the whole atmosphere; the small shops, the cafes, the people. Take your time to discover the place.

It's beautiful, it was snowing so looked pretty cool. The buildings are amazing, my favourites include The Blackheads and one with cats on it, can't remember it's name.

It's fun to go around and see Art nouveau, its incredible and beautiful. If you are interested in art, it's definitely something to walk around to see. But use good shoes!

As most old town, the size is very walkable. We spent a day and it was kind of enough. Better walk during daytime, night time was a bit scary (people)

The old city of Riga is a fantastic experience. It was quite cold and windy when we were there, but still it was a great experience to walk around the ancient buildings and just soak up the atmosphere. To me it is the best sightseeing,...More
