Riga is a big city and there a lot of place or building you may see. Just start and give a lot of time to travel city. Generally you pay fee entering many places, I think it is expensive. Also, it's Baltic city, so it's very cold.

We visited in the fall, and it was beautiful. We stayed at the hotel Justus which was within walking distance of everything. The open air restaurants, the music, the churches. Not to be missed is the black cat store, a souvenir shop for Cat lovers around the world. Everything cat imaginable. I was in heaven! It is right out in... More

I've always lived by visiting a city, taking in all the local culture then moving on to the next. But Riga may just be the one that changes this. Friendlier than Bratislava, bigger than Gdansk, better ratio of bars/museums/restaurants/tours than Prague and no need for a metro as in Budapest, all with the typical Eastern European beauty and architecture you... I have been to Riga a few times and I fall in love with the old town all over again with each visit. It's absolutely lovely. Set aside a few hours and just get lost in the winding little streets.

I wasn't expecting such a beautiful city and it was a fantastic discovery. There is so much culture and interesting buildings, it is actually better to do some walking tours of the town so you can really understand the buildings and their history. I did 2 different walking tours and could have spent days wondering around discovering different places. I... More

We went to Riga with the intention of seeing the Art Nouveau buildings and we weren't disappointed. Fabulous. If you go make sure you take a camera you won't be able to stop taking pictures - everywhere is so picturesque

Riga is a great city, small and cosy, charming and bright. I advise to visit it in the winter, it is all white, and then during the summer, it is warm and shiny !

You cant go to Riga without visiting the Old Town. The streets, buildings and everything is very beautiful and tells a tale. There are many great restaurants and cafes here. I went with two friends. We are 37, 24 and 20 years and we all agree. My parents says the same thing.
