One of my favourite old towns - great for a few walks and there are many different cafes, restaurants, pubs, clubs, tea houses - to anyone's taste. The architecture is fab and I never fail to get surprised at discovering new places.

There was so much diversity in the architecture in the city, it was amazing to see. All within a 15-30min walk. The city was clean and so many places to eat and drink. This is a city we will be coming back to again and would highly recommend to our friends.

Leaves from outside St Peters at 12pm. Old town plenty to do for a couple of days. Don't miss the views of the old town from the Sky bar in the Radisson. Get there half hour before sunset and watch the city light up while sipping your favourite cocktail,

We did not know what to expect from this city in the beginning, but we were amazad by it. The city and it's buildings are in such good shape, especially the old Jugendstiel and Art Noveau houses were a beauty. Plenty of restaurants and nice bars to be found in the center as well.

One of the most beautiful old cities I've seen in Europe. Worth one long day of walk and hundreds of pictures. There are several parks and churches that you must visit. October is a good month because of the Autumn colors. Lots of people walking on Sun morning. Get on top of the cathedral and have a look at the... More

Art nouveau houses with splendid facades, hundreds of tourists per day; unfortunately, some houses are in pretty bad shape and urgently need repair and maintenance; it has improved over the last couple of years, but a lot still remains to be done. However: a MUST for all visitors of Riga!!!

The walks by the canals were lovely as were the cobbled streets , old buildings and trams. There are some very smart clothes shops and some very tempting chocolate shops !! The town is small so you can walk round it easily in a day - 2 days if you do museums etc. There seemed to be hardly any traffic... More

Don't miss the boat ride on the canal, Dome cathedral or Laima chocolates. a 1/3 what you would pay for Godiva and far better.

Around every corner is another beautiful, charming and interesting block of buildings. And the park system is wonderful.
