There is a reconstructed entrance gate and a wall and one tower with some view over the forest, that's it. The entrance fee is low so you do not risk much. But if you have seen some European castles you might be disappointed. There is a nice view to the reconstructed red-brick Turaida castle, but it is far away covered... More

Beautiful setting stunning views over the valley to the Turaida Castle and the Krimulda Manor. The remains of the castle are really interesting easily accessible well worth the visit.

Formerly it was for free, but I do not mind to pay to keep it up. Accurate, well maintained place as well as surroundings. On your way to the castle, you pass church, park, new castle. Very nice and relaxed feeling. Not crowdy!

Hidden behind Sigulda new castle is the beautiful Sigulda Old Castle. When we arrived we were practically the only people there and after paying our two euros got to explore the grounds. Beautiful views the highlight is the restored viewing tower which thoughtfully has a lift inside to allow those with accessibility needs access to even the highest platforms. Lots... More

The castle inner courtyard is very atmospheric. You can go to the top of a tower and enjoy the view of the castle itself and it's surroundings. You can even see another castle in a telescope! There is also some information about the castles history.

It's a nice and quiet castle to visit. The children can toll all over the place! It's a perfect destination for a sunny or cloudy day (but no rainy day)

This was the headquarter of the Livonian Order, so it is at least worth a stopover on your way to Gutman Cave and Turaida. There isn't a whole lot to do here, no museums or galleries, but the views of New Sigulda Castle and Gauja Valley scenary are outstanding. From the observation tower, you will also have a great vantage... More

There is little left of the original castle buildings but what is there has been well renovated and a tower built to give excellent views over the forest to the castle on the opposite hill. We were on a tour and so did not have much time to wander freely but it was good to be able to see the... More

Worth to visit from some great landscape pictures. Still entrance seems overpriced for what you really see inside.
